OT I think it might outsell it for one week, two tops but that's it, unless new games, etc. help keep a spike going.  But I think PS3 will see games that will also help drive sales.

On the other hand with the Western economy going to hell in a hand basket we'll all be selling our consoles soon anyway so perhaps it doesn't matter either way... sighs as he watches latest news.

The previous price cut increased their sales %100, it just isn't selling as much as the Wii or PS3, but the cut will definitely have an effect. M$ said that they would have made the price even lower by now if it were not for the 1 bil they paid for RRoD warrenties.

That's assuming that the price cut is on Friday, it just won't leave enough time for people to postpone their purchase like it always happens prior to a price cut. This means that there won't be a big jump followed by slight decline.

Next week's sales for the 360 will be closer to the long term average than the US sales this week.

I don't think it will outsell Sony. Europeans are currently buying what Sony is feeding them.

Europe is a done deal for the 360... it will come close to the PS3, but the PS3 is en route to outselling it... especially when GT5 comes out. You're gonna see the Holy Mother of spikes and PS3 hardware will skyrocket (not to talk about how GT5 will sell).

NA is a done deal for the PS3 though... it has no chance of outselling the 360 there.

no, the 360 was up 100% when the price cut was in effect, sales have now gone back down to what it was selling before the price cut, which is around 45-50k. the price cut effect has near enough worn away now.

people will still pay for the cheaper console, 360 will outsell ps3.

Yup, just like they do now. The 360 is 2x cheaper than the PS3 and the PS3 sells almost 2x of the 360 amount.

If not Britain, the 360 would be selling far, far less.
