I would like House more if every episode didn't follow the same formula:

Something weird happens to a person
Doctor's are sure they have diagnosed it correctly while House treats everyone like crap
Some kind of conflict in the hospital is going on, mostly people hating on House
Doctors were wrong, and something even weirder happens
House makes a personal connection with the patient which allows him to figure out what is wrong
House is able to at least temporarily overcome the problem at the hospital
Patient is saved
(Insert moral lesson for the day here)

See, I could be a writer for House!

Yeah, that's pretty much House in a nutshell.  Although, they do have occasional plot arcs, and each season seems to be leading up to something.  And each season is leading up to House's conversion to theism or an eventual suicide.

To lavish praise upon this title, the assumption of a common plateau between player and game must be made.  I won't open my unworthy mouth.

"What will Wilson do? How will House survive it?"

WTF happened last episode? Did I miss it or just forget...

According to the previews, Wilson planning on retiring because of Amber's death, and House, naturally, doesn't want him to go.

It's much more exciting than that, though.

While that's the formula they find an odd way of making it not feel repetitive.  Unlike a show like... Monk.

Probably due to the Snappy dialogue.

I mean that's how every show like that is.  Law and Order... the same.  Except sometimes the guy gets off... though House has lost a patient or two.

I mean, i think it's the Snappy Dialogue.  Psyche is the same way.  Follows a formula.  But really good due to the dialogue and weird refrences.

Yeh I'm really excited for that, it's going to be coming on tonight for me!

Edit: 8 mins left!!! I'm off to get ready for it

And the medical cases never seem to lose their ability to interest.  Alhtough, that could just be the dialogue again.

This is one of the reasons I really never watch TV anymore.  I think American writers are much better at writing comedy in general because comedy works better in episodic bursts than a drama show does.  The formulas get old, and they just keep the show going without any real idea of where it is going to end (pretty much once it gets cancelled).

At least in their anime, the Japanese are much better at having a clear idea of where everything is going in a drama show, so I enjoy those a lot more.

Most of my favorite American TV shows are comedies, and with the exception of a few, like Twin Peaks and The Sheild, are not dramas.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

I agree somewhat.

Honestly while Anime often knows when to end... it always leaves me wanting more.  Which I actually hate.  I like to know every last bit of enjoyment i could get out of the show has been dashed against the rocks.

I don't care for legacy.  The one that i remember most was Thundercats.  Where the Thundercats spend forever fighting Mum-ra.... and eventually win!  And the Cartoon is over...

But then it isn't!  Cause you find out Mum-ra worked for some other evil powers nobody had heard of till that point.

The show sucked shortly after that... but I knew there was basically nothing left to tell.

VS like... Justice Leage Unlimited.  Which ruled, and was great right up to the end... and i can't help but feel... there is so much more there.

Though as for Anime being better at it.... oh Anime has it's real bad exceptions too... like Inuyasha.  The only thing with Anime is that it seems like it usually gets canceled before the Manga ends.  Which pisses me off to no end when that happens.
