If everyone is so certain Obama why aren't the news stations going crazy ? is Mcain still in with a chance or something.

The news stations have to keep people watching them I guess.

Because they can't... cause it'd be irresponsible because the polls are open.

Basically though Obama can win only states that haven't even thought of voting republican since Regan Modnale and they win.

I mean if Obama takes California... Washington and Hawaii.  That's basically it... and all three are locks.

They'll wait till it gets to 270 to call it... though it's pretty obvious the election was over the minute Ohio turned.

Ohio is basically the most important state in the country when it comes to presidential elections.  Republicans can't win without it.

Virginia just flipped for Obama, with about 18% still reporting.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

An act of God - or McCain hopping into a fighter and divebomb Grant Park.

Hahaha, classic.  Too bad he's never been known for his 1337 flying skillz.

CNN: 206 Obama 89 Mccain

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Obama will win:
VA, NC, FL

VA is reporting Fairfax County now (my county). We'll put a good cushion on for Obama, since we have like 10% of the states votes.

Landslide victory. Amazing.

Let's get ready for Obama 2012 now.

In 1980 Carter conceeded before the polls closed in CA. The Democrats didn't do as well as they were projected to do that year in CA. People said that Carter conceeding before the polls closed kept Democrats from going to the polls in CA because they figured it was a lost cause. That's the short anecdotal version.

Well, this appears to be working out (pretty much) as I expected ... Obama is going to win but it also appears that it was far closer than the pollsters were predicting.

Looking at the results I would say that it was a pretty big mistake of McCain to focus Pennsylvania and he should have focused on Ohio, Iowa, New Mexico and Colorado.

Haha and just for bragging rights...
Goodbye McCain, hello Democratic domination (and "socialism") lol. And man, now that his is over, the housing market crash was SO the Dems fault. But who cares, we win biatches. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
