Forget the importance of the election, forget that it's not really breaking any forum rules, forget that sometimes excellent discussions about key issues are discussed.  The fact of the matter is this is just going to get worse and worse as the election date closes in.  I'd rather see all the fanboy talk then have to see more Anti Obama/McCain threads and childish bickering. 

We all know they'll eventually get banned or some type of restrictions will be had because it's all going to explode into left vs right, white vs black, republican vs democrat flame war. 

I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way either.

When I right click, I normally choose not to click open, when I don't like the thread.

Why not just set your filter to only "gaming/sales" threads?

Because there are a lot of fun and interesting threads in Off Topic. Either way, at some point I'll see threads.

I'm going to start banning all the bad ones.

And no, we don't really need to define quite what makes it a bad political thread. I think we all know what that means.

I can't think of a subject I care less about than American politics. It's really ruined the forums for me of late.

Me neither. Oh, wait, I can think of one, American Football. Anyway, I think they should restrict them to one or two threads, so they don't steal all the off-topic page
