Forums - Gaming - What wireless router you recommend?

I installed the new BT Wifi-n hub today and it has an utterly useless connection range compared to BT's old g type Voyager hubs.
Very disappointed.

If you can find a Buffalo, get that, otherwise get a Linksys.

D-Link maybe, NEVER get Belkin.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Linksys WRT54G is the all around best router on the market

^they do but they charge more and I need to install a wi fi card in my pc, while with another router I can connect my PC with a cable and let the wii connect wireless.

Actually my modem/router hybrid still allows a wired connection through ethernet.

360 IS OPERATIONAL AFTER 37 DAYS!

Whatever you choose, please STAY AWAY FROM D-LINK. I have very bad experiences with a (albeit cheap) D-Link router.

# of games above 75 on Metacritic (including downloadable):

360: 241     DS: 144

PS3: 152     PSP: 126

Wii: 85

I had a linksys 54g and the thing dropped connection all the time. Literally once or twice a day. Replaced it with a standard netgear and the thing has been working great for weeks. I will never buy Linksys again

My Top 5:

Shadow of the Colossus, Metal Gear Solid 3, Shenmue, Skies of Arcadia, Chrono Trigger

My 2 nex-gen systems: PS3 and Wii

Prediction Aug '08: We see the PSP2 released fall '09. Graphically, it's basically the same as the current system. UMD drive ditched and replaced by 4-8gb on board flash memory. Other upgrades: 2nd analog nub, touchscreen, blutooth, motion sensor. Design: Flip-style or slider. Size: Think Iphone. Cost: $199. Will be profitable on day 1.

I second Buffalo, mostly for their nifty AOSS one-touch security, which is supported by Wii, DS, PS3 and PSP.

Curious as to why you dislike Belkin, though. I actually preferred the Belk to my Buffalo router before it finally packed in.

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

Out of all the routers I've used Netgear have been the most reliable.

I need to find a good router also, I'm currently looking for a Linksys.

What's so bad about DLink? the only thing thats wrong with it is that i can't use wiiconnect24 standby mode(which is really pointless anyway) without it showing an error.
