Sorry, i rather like it, and i don't usually take people seriously if they fail to even write the name of the game they "review" right.

It's your opinion, and you are entitled one, though many people don't share yours, neither do the mayority of the reviewers for this LAUNCH GAME from nearly 2 years ago.

I played it a little, I dident hate it but it really dident suck me in.

I'm playing it as we speak. Thank God we had this game or that Horrible launch would have been a disaster game wise.

+1 resistance 2 corrects all the problems r1 had and brings better graphics and colossal boss chimeras.

Trust me, keep playing, this game gets better and better .

Yea, I'll even admit that I stopped playing Resistance 1 about halfway through because I got bored of it.  But one day I decided to finish it, and the last half/third of the game is considerably better than the first half.  I mean, much, much, MUCH better.  Even the graphics seemed to improve (the citadel levels were awesome).

Oh and if you don't really want to slog through the first half of the game, just download a game save (which I actually did).  Don't worry, the PSN won't label you as a cheater for doing that.

Halo was also in development in 1999 and released in 2001. The original was a PC. Bungie is a PC developer at the core. Halo was very easy to create. Bungie also created an FPS before hand called Marathon.

Resistance was in development on a platform that even first-parties were having trouble with. The game was Resistance made within a year or so. The game is also the first FPS made by Insomniac Games which specialized in Platformers.

So yes there is a major reason for the difference. Genre experienced developer on an easy as hell to program for platform vs genre inexperienced developer on hard to program for platform.

Resistance is just as average as Halo.
