I am really enjoying the MotorStorm demo from Qore, but I wonder why they would release an old build as a demo of the game.  It is clear that the demo includes some placeholders and is lacking the polish found in recent gameplay videos.  The difference is clearly illustrated with the vegetation around the second ramp on the newer build.

The demo is a lot of fun, but I think they should demo a near final build.  Some people may be put off by the lack of polish in the Qore build.

Eh..while I don't think all gamers are super smart, I think the majority are able to understand, just because of the past couple years worth of demos, that the Demo they play and the final product they buy can have some significant differences, especially in graphics.

I played the demo and didn't see any problems with it. The game looked great. While I did notice a little pixelation on some of the plant life like you mentioned, I'm also not naive to think that would be how the final product is=P

I agree that most gamers that would notice these details are smart enough to realize it is not a final build.  I think these early build demos should be labeled as such.  I noticed a couple of threads on this site where people were disappointed in the graphics.  I wonder if demos and public betas for that matter can have a negative impact on a person's perception of a given title. 

Think this will affect sales??

I don't think the Qore demo will impact sales, but I hope they release a newer build on the Playstation Store.  I don't think this game will sell 3.5 million since it is not bundled, will have direct competition with Pure, and will be released to a much improved library of PS3 games overall.

Hopfully it will sell well but maybe it wont reach 3 million guess it depends to reviews and the holiday sales.
