Forums - Gaming - Can anyone tell me how this is fun.

Im a big fan of multiplayer gaming, I spend quite a bit of time on Counter-Strike, Gears and Warhawk. I think I am in the minority here when I love to play games with friendly fire. I just enjoy the extra element of gameplay that it adds. It seems that 9 of 10 times I go into a multipalyer server with friendly fire, theres someone being a visionary funnyman by killing people on his/her own team.

.......I just dont get it. All it results in is a person leaving the game and possibly causing the dead player to yell some obscenity at the teamkiller. How in the world is this fun. Ive seen servers up for hours where this goes on and the same teamkillers are there for hours on end. So can anyone explain why anyone does this?

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

When I play Forza 2, I turn the car around on the track and try to hit oncoming vehicles. It's basically the same thing. Some people just get off on playing the game incorrectly.

Some people take pleasure in beinga prick. See: Reality T.V., forum trolls, etc.

Man I remember when asswipes used to do that on CS a lot. It pissed me off. I was just complaining about that the other day to someone. I never saw the humor in it.

Well when I played Gears of War online I jumped into annex I think that was the name of the mode with friendy fire on and it was just so we can all kill each other and have fun.

Nobody trying to reach the objective nobody really losing. just friendly match fucking around.

though thats probably not what you were really talking about.

Some men aren't looking for anything logical.

They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.

Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Ha, good one!

I remember my first online gaming experience - on Battle.net, good ol' Diablo.  There were tons of hackers that joined in games just to townkill (killing players in an area not possible without hacks).  People get off on griefing others, that's just how it is.

Thanks guys. I will update my sig. I left out Negotiated, your post made me look it up! :^)

When I am playing games I am just looking for fun. In battle Tanx global assault, its more fun to destroy the world and screw around then go right after the missions. IF there is a way to mess around/glitch the game/not follow objectives in multilayer, I do it. My sister and I made "banna farms" in mario kart 64 instead of racing sometimes ect. Going around killing everyone in a team much is funny now and then because it disrupts everyone. Doing it for hours on end? Lame. But it would be fun as a non-harmful prank. ITs just a game guys. Play it whatever way you find fun; you can't hurt anyone unless you swear at them or something.

Griefing is hysterical
