Forums - Nintendo - It doesn't seem like much, but Dead Rising Wii is improving.

lets just wait till the game is close to release in like 4 months

The point is to show they just won't be sitting on their asses for four months.

You think that hasn't been tried before? They would just assume the graphics being shown would magically be exactly the same as the build coming out months later, until the finally see it. So the point of these pics was to show that they were touching it up. The big change is improving the lighting, but lighting is actually a big part of the original version. Even with the low texture detail compared to other 360 games, the lighting still made it look convincing, and this is evidently what they are shooting for for this version.

You know, I want to be excited about this game but they've already fucked it all up by releasing those terrible earlier screenshots. These are better but they still don't ease my fears that I can run from the "horde" of zombies near me into open area.

I was super excited about this game but now I'm just going to assume it's bad until it's released and I can actually be proved wrong.

Looks pretty bad, nothing has improved. I see the same crappy graphics, and they need to release a video, because the last one was simply terrible.

There are some improvments. They are minor, but they are there, and that is not up to debate. The colors are sharper, and the signs of improved lighting are there. A video would be nice, but this is improvement.

And I am sick of you thinking the game is shovelware. This game does not work that way. They had to redo the entire game to fit on the Wii, and these pictures show they are still working on it. If it was shovelware, they would slap it on a system that requires little effort to make*, and the Wii obviously does not take little effort for a game of this scale, even for a small team (although I have not found proof the team is as small as 10 people, just accusations).

They aren't stopping halfway with this game, and these pictures prove it.

* A PC, with at least a dual core processor. That would take little effort to port over.

It may not be shovelware but they have yet to show anything to make me think it's not crap.  They release shouldn't have released about 2/3's of the stuff they have released.

@Lord: They have to fix it, cause it looks like a first gen ps2 game/last gen PS1 game.
I'm sick of developers thinking that games will sell automatically and therefore making crappy efforts.

I don't have the link but there's a thread at Capcom's forums, where some mods and users say the team is very small with limited budget and time. So this is just a rush job, to cash in on the series fast.

Besides I'm not the only one disappointed with this game. Whenever you see many people angry at something, it means there's something wrong with it.
