Forums - General - What Do You Think of The September 11th Attacks?

I'm going to stop reading comments on this topic because I'm going to rip several people new a**holes if I don't.

As a person who lived in NYC at the time of the 9/11 attacks, someone who lost friends in the towers and has to deal with other friends that were firefighters that escaped but are forever traumatized by the event, I'm going to ask the ignorant posts to stop.

1 - To date, there has not been a larger bodycount from a single specific act of terrorism, sans for the genocides committed by Stalin, Hitler and Oliver Cromwell.

2 - I have seen the "Loose Change" documentary, and while there are some believable things, there has been direct proof by very solid sources that debunk the idea of the steel consruction of the Twin Towers. There were several elements on the metallic integrity of the towers left out of the documentary.

3 - F**K Allen Jackson for making the song "Where were you on 9/11?" I can tell you where he was NOT - In NYC. Douches who make money off of that day should be burned and eaten.

4 - Go to myspace.com/distant2nd - This is my band. I wrote a song 3 days after 9/11/01, its called Coward, about the prior 3 days if you want a direct experience from a person in NYC at the time. The song was recently remade and updated. And no, we never ever will put this song on a CD or any other product. It will always be free, to honor the victims, their families and NYC.

For someone who has a South Park avatar, Timmah!, you sure don't recognize a South Park quote when you see one.

Haha! I missed that episode. Sorry.

It was sure sad but I wasn't there and I didn't lose anyone there and I'm sick of hearing about it. Just let people rest in peace and, I'm not asking to forget about what happened... It won't be forgotten, but it's just annoying year after year to hear about it. It's fine to be sad, mourn the death of people but for how long will this continue? Will I still hear about it when I'll be 80 or will something worse happen?

And I don't claim to know anything about if it's a conspiracy or not... Because I wasn't there and i just won't trust any words a nobody sais... But that doesn't mean I'm a government kissass either. I just won't believe anything but anyway it's not my problem really it's up to US people to decide for themselves what they believe really happened.

there is a documentary made funded by the public into the 9/11 attack called loose change made by american students as a result of the government with holding information to the public. very interesting watch and would recommend anyone to do so. Shows 9/11 in a whole new way.

According to the american public who funded the documentary and investigation, it was an inside insurance job as well as an excuse to go into Afghan.

Personally though, and I'm sure you didn't know this many of you guys, but G.Bush and Osama made a lot of money from it. the family have a long history in business. The whole thing sounds shady to me!

That is the single most ignorant statement I have ever heard. Osama is hiding out in the remote mountians of Pakistan, in remote villages, and the most powerful nation on the planet has a hit out on him, he must be so happy.

Also, show me one freaking instance where GWB directly profited from the 9/11 attackes , or that he and Osama did business from a reputable source (that doesn't include your keyboard).

You have shown your ignorance by these statements.

dude, it is not ignorant, its lack of knowledge on your end. The Bush and Bin Laden families have been friends for years since they are in the same business, oil and gas. Bush is building a gas pipeline through Afghan and Bin Laden's company is constructing it. Hence when 9/11 happened no flights left the US of A other then the royally escorted Bin Laden family.

You have shown lack of knowledge in your statements.

As for Conspiracy Theories, I would have said the same about 9/11 until i watched Loose Change. rather then arguing on a thread where you won't find any answers possibly, why don't you do something more resourceful and actually go watch this All American Documentary! The people who made it had no reason to believe in conspiracies since they are the ones who lost out by losing friends and family. They were seeking the truth for those loved ones they lost since the US of A wouldn't allow an investigation into 9/11.

What you are doing is blindly following what the media has portrayed and we all know how accurate the media can be. You basing your retort on what the media has published shows ignorance to your ability to cross reference and educate yourself from various sources, since you chose to go with the easy option.

I won't reply again on this thread since if you are a man of your words, instead of arguing you will go out and watch the DVD and go do your homework next time.

OT though, 9/11 was horrible. Either way, many innocent people died as a consequence on both; american soil and afghan soil. Nothing good came of it other then a war and poppy farms being won. Afghan is still no-man's land as it was a before 9/11, Osama is still at large and Al'Qa'eeda still exists. However, if we really care for humanity, USA and the UK should have long ago stepped into Zimbabwe and de-throned Mugabe for the genocide that has taken place and possibly will continue. Funnily enough, no one has come to any aid apart from little half witted peace talks and empty threats. Where is affirmative action when one needs it!

What I tend to find is a majority of people who believe in conspiracy theories like this are either young and impressionable or foreigners who don't have a full knowledge of our government.

I could say you're the blind follower for watching a video like Loose Change and going "Oh ma eyes are open now!" instead of questioning what's presented as well.  These movies like Zeitgeist or Loose Change are largely sensationalist, with some facts thrown in.  Some of them are true, some of them are misrepresented....there is no solid proof of a government conspiracy though, and I choose to believe it wasn't a conspiracy.

I've considered the facts and choose to believe otherwise, and if you can't accept that, you're a tool.

Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

1. It was a horrible event that should be remembered simply because there are too many people out there who are willing to kill a lot of people. 9/11, Oklahoma bombing, etc. are all events that should be brought up to keep people on the lookout for similar actions.

2. Due to Bush's actions or immediate inaction really, and the way in which the Pentagon and other events where handled. It is seriously plausible that the US Government knew about the actions and possibly allowed them to happen and even attacked our own Pentagon. To deny the evidence that strongly suggests this is simply being ignorant. Just focusing on the mountain of evidence on the Pentagon is enough to not trust what the Government said on everything else.

I think the 11th was bad choice of days.  The 10th would have been more convenient for me.

Wow, please stop advertising for the Loose Change documentary. Popular Mechanics tore that film to shreds with actual proof years ago.

Interview between Loose Change filmakers and editor of Popular Mechanics

Debunking the 9/11 Mythos: Popular Mechanics-March 2005

If you're willing to watch a 90 minute documentary, at least do the other half and read the publications and sources that don't agree with it.

We had it coming, I mean we stick our nose in every countries business and piss off more then half the planet, then decide to stick our neck out and brag about the fact that we have by telling the world how great we are at every thing……..we had it coming

I do thinks its sad that so many innocent had to suffer before we realized we were not the biggest fish in the pond and that even a shark can bite off more then it can chew

I also think that while it showed off what real heroes can look like it showed us that we can be a stupid and ugly race, and I am not talking about the people that flew the planes, I am referring to the millions of people that started to spew hate towards a complete stranger just b/c he had a double j in his last name or looked like he might be a Muslim, or even was a brown skinned

That day is nothing compared to what other people have had to suffer, yet the American mentality of a free ride has turned it into a truly “epic” loss, I mean why should I care about the whole Indian tribes getting slaughtered so my ancestors can own a piece of dry desert land, or why should I care that in Africa 1000’s of people are being killed so Bobs wife down the street can have that nice diamond pendent…….i mean I am American and I should get what ever I want, its my right!
