Forums - Sales - Bloomberg: Xbox Console Sales Double After Price (100% All Models)

How did Bloomberg track this?

I could see if NPD or someone reported this, but I'd like to know her source. Was it one retailer? More than one?

And what about the PS3? Did it lose?

Not that I don't believe her, but no source generally makes me not believe.

Read the article and you will know their source. MS internal retail sales data.

It says retailers, but the E-mail came from MS, so whatever, it just didn't make sense whether it was MS or retailers >_>

Anyhoo, why not give numbers?  Why multipliers and percentage?  Oh well, I'll be awaiting NPD.

Whoa, this is going to turn out interesting. Wander what the lasting effect will be

You expected a price cut to more than double sales?

Right.

What makes you think these are consumer sales?

Cause the post stated "Retailers reported a 100 percent increase"

PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game

Devil's Advocate:

So!  What does that say?  Not too much...

Could be MS shipping more consoles, could be selling more consoles... who knows.

That is because MS actually receives sales data from their retail partners as well. They have to replenish stock of course. That ~60% or so retail sales of GTA IV also came from their partners. Which again was echoed by Gamestop stating 66 or 64% IIRC.  They get there own set of data which the public rarely if ever sees.

THIS IS JUST XBOT SPIN!

I WILL WAIT FOR THE REAL NUMBERS WHICH ARE DIFFERENT.

IF THE NUMBERS AGREE WITH THIS STATEMENT THEN THEY ARE BOTH WRONG.

Tease.

Guess 360 can't even beat Ps3 week of price cut...
