Too true. I don't know why developers haven't learned to not offer downloadable content after the massive flops of the Elder Scrolls' Shivering Isles and Call of Duty 4's map pack. I mean it was so weird to see them sell zero copies. That has to be a first in videogame history.

Fail.

Just for reference, Fable 1 wasnt as good as resistance fall of man according to metacritic.

True.

But then Fable was marked down for not meeting Molyneux's hype, while Resistance was marked up due to being a launch title.

So your argument is that I shouldn't assume anything because the world could end or it could score horribly? Ok, let's assume the former is a sane argument. Let me quote you:

Bioshock (360) 2:1 Bioshock (PS3) (if not, atleast 1.5:1) which would be like 1 mil LTD. First week sales WW like 120k MAX.

None of these games will hinder the sales of the games and especially review scores (as the media is surely to give Gears 2 atleast a handful of 10s), but it will affect HW sales IMO.

-Will launch in December in Japan, so it will get the holiday boost, and it's launching to a RPG starved community.

-I think that LO's weekly sales will start to dip once IU and ToV get word of mouth. Y buy an old RPG when a new one with alot of hype just released? I do think that LO's weekly sales will increase because of the holiday boost tho.

-The beginning of next year, LO weekly sales will dip alot because of the overshadowing of big games. If I were a 360 owner in the beginning of next year, and I had money to buy 1 or 2 games only, it would be Gears of War 2 and Halo 3.

-As soon as WKS is launched in NA and especially Others (with their bigger installed base than NA), it SHOULD easily breeze to 1 mil.

Well that's funny. Nowhere in those predictions did you include the world ending into your calculations. Also...(gasp)...you didn't figure review scores into the account. My gosh, what if White Knight released with a 5 on Metacritic? I'm sorry sir but all of your predictions FAIL because you didn't cover every conceivable thing that could happen. Holy mother of god, you also didn't take into account that there's a .0001% chance that the world could succumb to World War III and all videogames may get postponed in that time. Better go back and adjust those assumptions. I mean what gives anyone the right to make informed assumptions off of real data on a site built around making sales assumptions in the first place?

Here's where I give off the real kicker though. You quoting me in the first place was a failure because I never gave any prediction on Fable 2 sales. Not once. I didn't give a prediction for White Knight sales either. I followed past trends and asked markers why he thought the future would hold differently based on them. I actually don't think Fable 2 is going to sell 2,600,000, but before I can give a proper prediction, I need to recheck my data on sunspots and how they affect global warming. It's imperative to knowing how much Fable 2 will sell.

ok first of all, the first thing I said was a joke cuz I had thought u meant to put Fable 1 that it sold 2.6 mil, cuz it did, i just saw that and put that in there thinking that was a typo. 2nd, the whole world ending thing, did u see the heheh at the end of the LHC thing? yea I was joking bout that too making fun of VGChartz members, cuz I've seen alot of topics about that lately. Lastly, u did make a prediction about Fable 2, u said:

Fable 2 sales=2,600,000 total

but that's besides the point. My first comment was a misunderstanding, which led to ur comment, which led to my comment which was mainly a joke. I apologize for the misunderstanding.

As you already mentioned, you realized it was a typo, which it was, so why would you then say I made a Fable 2 prediction? You could have just corrected the typo in the first place and left it at that, avoiding this whole mess. Obviously I hit the "2" key instead of the "1", and the context of the following paragraphs cements that for any reader as do the fact that my prediction is precisely the exact sales numbers for the first Fable.

With that being said, I'm going to take your last paragraph in mind and just end this here.

You are right for the wrong reasons.

All that money will be needed to counter Microsoft's RPG dominance that month.

Fable 2 and Fallout 3 exclusive content..........

Oooh... Fallout 3 exclusive content!  I wonder what it is!?!?  Too bad no one knows :/  That's going to make many people buy the 360 version.  A grab bag of content.  Who knows what ur gonna get!

yeah the exlusive content did not seem to work too well for 360 on GTAIV so not sure going to help much on Fallout three

GTA IV

360 sales   5.88 million

PS 3 sales   4.39 million

PS3, WII and 360 all great systems depends on what type of console player you are.

Currently playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Fallout 3, Halo ODST and Dragon Age Origins is next game

Trust me, nothing will be needed to counter MS' RPG releases on october, just like there was no need to counter Microsoft when MassEffect, Eternal Sonata, Blue Dragon, Lost Oddysey, Operation Darkness, Too Human and Tales of Vesperia.

WW sales of PS3 vs 360 will likely be around the same even with this "RPG dominance". You're overestimating the power of the genre's ability to move consoles. Microsoft has been dominating the RPG front since the beginning, yet they've been outstriped by 2 million (i think) so far this year.

both Fable 2 and Fallout 3 will be overshadowed by WKC coming out in japan in december then ported to NA+EU later

Nah they won't. Fable 2 will be really sucessful in both reviews and sales compared to WKC.  (WKC will be the better game, but thats not the point.)

I agree completely. Anyone who has followed Level 5 know that therir games are top quality and rapidly continue to get better and better.

*looks at Rogue Galaxy*

Wat? That damn extra dungeon is the worst thing to ever embrace mankind. No saves ANYWHERE? Are you kidding me? Other than that, I have to agree that Level 5 is a pretty good RPG developer though. =P

Yeah, Rogue Galaxy, while I enjoyed it, was more of a side step than 'rapidly conintuing to get better'. The story was pretty weak and there were a few little annoyances, but the gameplay was fairly solid I thought, a sizable leap from DC2.

IT already seems like they are pushing it more, iv seen numerous adverts in the past week.
