i played it for an hour yesturday.. lol .. it's certainly not what it was hyped to be. It gets old really fast, and the creatures have mesh issues. At one point my dudes arms were aparently partially attached to his legs. so when he moved the arms strings would occur of mesh between the arms and legs.. lol

Check out my game about moles ^

There are more abilities than Sing, maybe you have to dance, pose, or charm

Nah, just get the herbivore pig-like faces and enjoy the amazing ''lolololololololol'' singing sound effect. It's actually what it sounds like! o_o

You can get past that stage with Lv. 3 singing only, no problem.

How the hell do you level up singing?

You have to change the mouth of your creature.  When you are in the creature editor, different parts for the social and attack stats.  Mouth = sing level, feet = dance level, hands = charm/strike level, etc.

To also help your befriending, it helps to isolate either one member of the opposite group plus have as many creatures in your group at a time.

Change the creature's mouth to a more upgraded one

What are the system requirements for this game?

It's not a bad game so far (I've only just gotten to the tribes stage), though I hope it gets more complex. I didn't expect much from cell stage and the creature stage got pretty boring there towards the end.

1. Walk around until you find a new tribe
2. Try to befriend them
3. Try again
4. Try again
5. Try again
6. you befriend them, now to make them your ally
7. Try again
8. Try again
9. Try again
10. Get killed by the huge thing walking around

Evolution... its boring and it takes forever... but it gets the job done...

But seriously I think the game has many great aspects... the first steps on dry land are a little uneasy but once you get you species going it gets much better... you need them good upgrades... it sucks at the beginning because you are alone and can´t do much at all and most everybody is stronger that you... once your over that it gets much more interesting... but I´m not that far eather...

Try to go back underwater, meet your doom.

Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Does anybody think the Spore engine could be modified to make the most amazing Sim Earth game? As I was going through the game levels I couldn't stop from thinking Will Wright should make a new Sim Earth using most of the elements from Spore.

I don´t know if this is the right thread but here is what my creatures look like till now... I´m not very far yet... somehow I feel it looks a little like them monkeys from wizard of oz fell into nuklear waste or something...

Don't worry twesterm, it gets more complex with each stage. Cell is just point and click, you can't even attack directly. Creature stage has a more RPG feel to it with a variety of attacks, building your stats, and eventually you get to recruit a pack.

The tribal phase gets a little more complex with an RTS building huts for purposes of war, food gathering, or befriending, then the civilization stage ups the complexity again with city management, choosing religious, military or economic city states, then building up the cities by adding houses, factories, entertainment areas, turrets ect, creating all of your own vehicles, and buildings, and trying to take over the world.

The final stage, the space stage is incredible huge and deep and is the meat of the game. I've been in the space stage for about two hours and I've barely scratched the surface, it's freakin amazing. I can't even describe everything you have at your disposal by the time you get to the space stage. You have to terraform planets, build a galactic empire, wage war, make friends, establish trade with other empires, form treaties and alliances, upgrade your custom built ship, build cities, create planets, it's VAST. I can look at the screen and it's filled with more stars than I can count, each star is a solar system, and each solar system has a number of planets. Just going solar system to solar system and exploring planets is incredible.

In an interview I posted he said he (Will Wright) made the game with a gradual curve in complexity and also the order in which videogames developed. Starting with a pacman-esqu simple gobble game, and going through basic action game, RTS, civ style games, until it reaches it's climax of enormous community generated game where the players ultimately have all the control. It's an amazing work of videogame art, and it really is a ton of fun if you're willing to invest the time in it. Wasn't the first 5 or 6 hours of GTA IV just a tutorial?
