Jesus, the PS2 almost outsold the 360 three years into it's life cycle in Europe. That is just beastly. The PS2 will haunt everyone in their dreams for it will never die. The PS3 is the successor of a God. Poor thing, how can you live up to God, lol.

I hope the ps2 keeps on selling until it hits 200 million, its continuing to expand the gaming market

Well, PSP got a hella bump from the slim introduction. The 3000 is around the corner. Sales should get another nice bump from that. It will be interesting to see how that plays out.

Im just saying that if in North america the 360 doesnt manage to pull ahead of the PS3 with the mass market price, microsoft have hurt themselves in my opinion.

 

Yes its only one week, but like I said Im not sure what can happen.

Also to answer your wii question, no Im not comparing it to the wii because its obvious the wii is selling faster than paper.

I remember your insane predictions that after the release of MGS4 Wii will go below 60k a week Worldwide or something as incongruous as that. I'm happy that you finally realize the amazing performance of the Wii without predicting such ridiculous things like you did before.

Its rumored the PS2 costs Sony approximately 30 dollars to create.  The rest of the system goes towards pure profit.  This combined with a profit off of PS3, and a profit off of PSP (with the recent surge in sales), I can easily see the company profitting on the 3 billion loss easily. 

 

We may have criticized Kutaragi and balked about expense, but it really is like Yoshida said "The Hardware and Software costs are all coming together."
