I think its main achievement is showing off the main bulk of the game: the physics-based 2D platforming.
There are still too many people who aren't entirely sure what LBP is, or think that it's nothing more than a glorified level editor, hence all the people that complained on Joystiq about its being a fully priced game, rather than a budget $20 affair.
