Forums - Gaming - 9 years ago , the Dreamcast was released...a short, but amazing life.

I grew up with Sega more than Nintendo, I loved the Genesis, but I don't think the Dreamcast was that great, it was awesome, but I liked the Saturn more, but Sega didn't seem to try good advertisments witht he Saturn in North America, a shame. Good days. Happy Birthday, Dreamcast.

A lot of sega fans did buy the xbox because in the beginning the xbox had lots of sega games released for it.

Considering what they have put out in the last few years, that's pretty hardcore.

@Topic: I don't want to spoil anyones fun, but november 27th Dreamcast is ten years old... You're almost a year late with the topic.

Ei Kiinasti.

Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.

Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.

Skies of Arcadia was such a great game too. By the way, this game still is incredible expensive, i saw it yesterday in a second hand shop for 39€ ;). When i think about this game, i really hope, they will release a sequel on the wii.

And we played hours and hours Virtua Tennis 2k2 with four players. Great one screen Multiplayer experience.

Things would have been alot different if Sega could have held out a little longer with the DC. It was a great console.

"Naturally the common people don't want war: Neither in Russia, nor in England, nor for that matter in Germany. That is understood. But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

9/9/99....very fond memories of that short-lived, but amazing system.

The 1st Sonic Adventures was the only 3D Sonic I got to enjoy.

Soul Calibur made my jaw drop.

Shenmue, RE:Code Veronica, Power Stone, Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, etc...

1 year of awesomeness this system provided me.

the dreamcast brings back fond memories for me.

it was so cool that it came with dream key and you could surf the web, and it had the best chat ever called dreamarena chat.

later on it was improved with messege boards and you had your own email addy.

phantasy star online, phantasy star online v2, dream arena, planet ring, shenmue, omg it was awsome i wish them days were back.

plus dreamcast games, on some of them could push out very high res textures that glistned on your tv.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

A ridiculously good console when you think about it. I'm so glad my brother got one.

i thought the dreamcast was a terrible system? how come it never sold much if it was so good? were the graphics on it good?

Respect for compans: SONY > NINTENDO >>>>>>>>>> MICROSOFT

The Dreamcast is one of my favorite systems. In fact I'm playing through Skies of Arcadia right now.

Mars Matrix
Zero Gunner 2
Border Down

The DC is still the best shmup console.
