Forums - General - Tomorrow is the end of the world. What are you doing today?

Tomorrow is the day when the £6 billion 'Large Hadron Collider' will be starting up, potentially creating a black hole that will destroy the earth.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BXzugu39pKM&feature=related

There has already been a lawsuit filed to the European Court stating that the collider "will pose great risk to the 27 EU countries and violates the right to live" which is still pending.

It may be too late. Kiss your arses goodbye and do something worthwhile today!

Again...this is just when the machine turns on to "warm up"...and we've got another month before it makes collisions greater than any existing installation.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Partying like it's 1999...or at least until October 21st when the actual machine turns on.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

"The experiments that we will do with the LHC have been done billions of times by cosmic rays hitting the earth," Ellis said. "They're being done continuously by cosmic rays hitting our astronomical bodies, like the moon, the sun, like Jupiter and so on and so forth. And the earth's still here, the sun's still here, the moon's still here. LHC collisions are not going to destroy the planet."

The doom and gloom angle is so frikkin stupid, I can't wait until it gets started and nothing happens for a while and this all gets forgotten. Seriously what idiot or idiots is trying to have this thing shut down? Someone needs to give them some books from stephen hawking or Brian Green and tell them to come back when they're finished.

You can find me on facebook as Markus Van Rijn, if you friend me just mention you're from VGchartz and who you are here.

Amen brother! Rolstoppable also posted something on this (he was just reporting news though, I didn't think he believed it) and I already called out that thread. The media is just retareded. Good news is no news indeed... all doom and gloom with them. Remember Y2k? That was so stupid. It got me kinda worried, though I was 8-9 at the time.

going to the dentist!
