by John Tanaka

September 8, 2008 - Bleach is coming back to the Wii for a second go, and this time it's got more than just gimmicky motion controls. Sega Japan has announced Bleach Versus Crusade, a new Wii adaptation of the popular anime.

While details on the game are scarce, a teaser official site opened up by Sega promises "multi battle action" gameplay in a free-roaming 3D environment. Sega is including multiplayer options for two player split screen and even online play!

In development by the developers of Sega's Bleach DS titles, the new game will is being planned for a Winter Japanese release. The official site has a few thumbnail screenshots, which will have to hold you over until the site's full opening on the 29th.

Yup! So we can have some hope of a good quality game.

Treasure did indeed develop the Bleach DS games. We can only hope that it'll get an American release.

"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."

Been waiting for this, I couldnt bring myself to buy the first version cause I knew the WiFi version was around the corner.

Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Isn't their Bleach game supposedly the best handheld fighting game ever? Sounds like it could be good.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

"Ok, girl's trapped in the elevator, and the power's off.  I swear, if a zombie comes around the next corner..."

Another fighting game, maybe this will show Capcom that they have made a big mistake by ignoring the Wii with SF4. Maybe they'll bring Tatsunoko vs Capcom here, but I doubt it.

But SEGA is trully supporting the Wii, that's how a company should be, not like SE, Capcom, Ubisoft, etc.

Bets with Conegamer:

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

Wow the art direction looks nice. I don't like fighters though. Maybe I will rent it to see if I like it first, but the chances of me liking it is pretty slim.
