The rule's what, up to the time stamp in a one line post? Just do this: find out how many lines all that username, posts, vg$, etc stuff is. Call it x. Not including the avatar, this is constant for everyone.

 Ahha you see it is the avatar part I was refering to. It gives people an incentive to get an avatar which I know for certain ioi likes people to have. I would not be surprised at all if he had a hand in making the sig rule so dependant on having an avatar.

You must be one of the victims of the crusade. Sad, no. Full of long stretches of time with nothing to do, occasionally. It is pretty easy to report every sig over the limit while just browsing the hottoppics section.

@blazinghead
Thats because your sigs tend to be too long.

@rendo
Probably, but I feel bad gumming up the mod queue some days. Really I am just hoping the people I have had to report several times for different sigs will read this and think before they make their next one.

@RAcCoOnErOuS
It is about to become twice.

@kushal3337@wii
I would never last as a moderator. I think they are generally too soft on people with a long track record of causing problems. The boards would eventually pitch a fit over my bannings as has happened in the past.

No mate I have never been reported, but feel free.

Also sad yes. Enjoying causing others a little grief is sad and thats why I think you really do it.

Actually it's more like an oversight.  I'm not going to squeeze the avatar-less folks any more than anyone else.

As for the original post -- no. :P

 Well fair enough. I figured it can't hurt to ask. Can we get a standardized sig length then? In addition to the avatar adding legth, so do the "online" light that comes on.

 @dawve24
You really have no idea why I do anything as you just demonstrated so well. I could not care less about whether or not it causes someone "grief" to have to shrink their sig. I enjoy not having to scroll through a mile of worthless crap they clutter their sigs up with.

No, if we have to go through the trouble of moderating those people you have to go through the trouble of typing the message.

 Well then, can you at least get the mods who break the sig rules to fix theirs? I am tired of reporting stickball.

I'd much rather prefer an "ignore user" button.

You truly are a certainty for mod ship.

Oh god no don't let him be a mod , we'll have to wear VG badges and make sure we have our ties on correctly.

Duh. But what if you got a ticket every time you went 1 mile over the speed limit?

 Then you'd learn your lesson, and the roads would be a much safer place.

hahaha... that is so full of BS. by law, in order to get a ticket you must be going 6 mph over the speed limit. if everyone was force to go exactly or below the speed limit, people would go below, increasing unnecessary traffic and probably causing MORE accidents, which is the same reason that the highways were just allowed to go back up in speed, because it's actually more dangerous to go TOO SLOW.
