I thought this would be a good idea for the site this way the VG$ we get can be used for other things besides the prediction league.  All you really would need to do is add a button to the area where we have the 'message me" and "my codes" links.

I belong to other sites that have a method for allowing other users to reward their friends with points. In this case we could use the VG$. This would allow for people to place bets with each other on sales or start games where the reward is VG$.

Your thought?

EDIT: In short I want to be able to give my VG$ to other people. Just in case that wasn't clear from my post.

Biggest concern is the potential for abuse by creating duplicate accounts to give your main account vg$.

I thought about that possibility for a while, and the money would simply be laundered. People would make new accounts, transfer their money to their main account, and do pointless actions on their main account such as submitting release dates and posting on the forums to make it look like they didn't get their money through a method that's against the rules. Or even if they knew they couldn't get away with it, they'd do it just to annoy us. This would really only work if money transactions were surveyed by the moderators, but we're busy enough already.

nah I dont like this idea. We'll just have to wait to see what else they want to with VG$ before we can freely give it away.

VG$ are useless anyway I can't buy anything with it so now i have to use all my monopoly money.

 And? Really what would be the bad side of that? I can't think of a single benefit to having a ton of VG$ so I can't think of a reason to care if someone created 10,000 accounts to boost their amount.

Yes, but people already give their profiles fake hits by refreshing the page (like http://vgchartz.com/profiles/profile.php?id=15011), imagine what they would do with VG$ just to figure in the rankings.

A way to bet it would be better. That would rock!!!
