Also, if I see a mistake (orthographical or grammar) in one of my posts, I go straight and edit it, I can't stand seeing it. Also happens when I send an e-mail, I usually spot a minor error when I'm sending it (another obsession, I ALWAYS send my messages in Thunderbird with Ctrl+Enter) I'll cancel the sending and correct it

You mispunctuated. There is supposed to be a period at the end of the second set of parantheses indicating the end of the sentence.

You're right. I'll fix it

Yes. Every time I leave a room I need to turn the light switch on then off exactly 17 times or my family will die.

Rofl.

My misery amuses you?

I... thought I did, but I have been unsure. If I do, its extremely mild. I have found whatever you feel you "have" to do, purposely screw it up and watch nothing bad happen. You will then realize you don't have to do whatever it is, and that particular obsession is cured! For Dtewi for example, purposely touch object together and watch as nothing bad at all happens. Worked for me.

Oh tut tut.

First, let's get rid of the parantheses and isolate the sentence for easier correcting.

Also happens when I send an e-mail, I usually spot a minor error when I'm sending it, I'll cancel the sending and correct it

First thing's first, there needs to be a period at the end of the sentence.

Also, the second comma is inappropriate since the sentence doesn't contain a subordinator or a conjuction. Add either one.

No. I had a very minor compulsion when I was younger like that... but nothing came of it.

Whenever i got something out of the fride and closed the door i'd have to go back and open it to make sure i didn't accidently lock my dog in there. Which was basically impossible, there was no room at the bottom to do it.

Yet no matter what i did it would nag me and i couldn't do anything till i went back and checked or saw my dog.

Still happens to me rarely... but it's like... very rare.

I suspect he assumed you were joking. If you feel you need to do that, I would see a phycologist who can help you. I would tink purposelly turning off the lights once and stopping would be fairly traumatizing and too difficult. Good luck!

You have clearly missed my third post in this thread.

I said that I fix my errors, but I also abide by my own rules. I don't like final periods. Therefore I don't put them. And it doesn't bother me. And about the sentence, is it now fine?

I just want to know how that would even be slightly possible. Would your dog like climb into it and just sit down and you would not even notice it and close the door.
