nope, not with the AAA PC games out. Spore, Crysis Warhead, WoW:WotLK, etc.
So console kiddies, if you question why a game like Spore is AAA when it gets 8's you have to realize that PC reviews are perfectionist dicks. Console reviews are people who overlook a minor glitch as something that doesnt effect the score. Basically your comparing the school bully to the school nerd.
Not all of your 80 games are going to have that kind of break even point. I think it would be fair to say that most, if not all, the Wii releases will have much lower development costs.
what makes me mad is that the wii will continue to dominate, and it has no games coming out. plus, its games drought is in the midst of the monster lineup of ps3 and 360.

I actually have data from the 1st quarter this year which supports my point of view. Furthermore the fact there are a few publishers supports the theory that its a high risk industry and the 20% ROI I indicated is typical for such an industry.
So lets see, costs are down - sales are up... Signs of an improving outlook? Yes.

Oh, you are one of those. Sorry to wake you up from your dream but the pc loss the retail game war for good back in the NES era. I know, I know it's a shock, one you won't admit I am sure (if it didn't happen in the last what, 15 years? It wont happen now). The same way you ignore the pc developer exile to console.
Go back to sleep where the pc nerd dominate the world, where he can feel superior because he know how to build a pc with his eye close, because he has the time to waste day waiting for a patch for a game to be actually playable, because he doesn't have any other expense than rebuilding is "rig"(WTH with the name?) every 6 month.

Someone is going to suffer. The 360 and PS3 have left some pretty big franchises for this holiday season. Theres just not enough market for every game to achieve 1 million sales (or more).

even though I have a bet that RFOM 2 will be bigger (Avatar control) I still have to disagree with you there.
