New add on pack with new maps, jet packs, and trophies pushed it from about 300 games available each night to over 1000 games each night...it was far from dead, but now its busy as hell.

Will play some more SOCOM in a few minutes, try a different map / game...will report back.  Last night all I played was suppression on the dessert city map.

Socom 2 was one of my favorite if not my favorite online experience. It was amazing, the levels, the weapons, everything.

i'm not in it but from my experiences with past socom games, it'll be amazing

Spent another hour in it. Its easily better than MGO already. One game was laggy, all others played well.

Yea, I like it...but no love.    I don't see me getting a FPS till KZ2 really.

Hmm wow... im mainly geared toward getting the game because of the headset. The upcoming official headset looks absolutly amazing and the game in retail only being $60 with the headset and the headset being sold as is by itself for $50... your basically getting the game for $10.
