Forums - Microsoft - BREAKING: New 360 model being introduced tonight at E3?

The fourth console has exchanged the red rings of death for a blue screen of death to match the Windows line and get console gaming that much closer to computing.

Ha ha.........  There was a time when I'd read a post like that one and immediately go into the Nintendo or Sony forum (whichever was the fanboy's company of choice) and bash the hell out of their system.  But I'm trying to be better than that so I'll just applaud you on your attempt at being clever.

I'm putting my vote on multiple console colours - they seem to do really well (I REALLY wanted that pimping yellow PS2 back in the day).

I was thinking they would do the smart thing and make it two SKUs instead they are adding even more useless SkUs....

Let's assume it has HD DVD built in, doesn't that make it an even more expensive? So instead of countering the Sony price cut, they add another version that will cost more than the elite and the PS3 now?

Not very smart if you ask me. Or do they introduce a version that actually has less stuff than the core? That would make it cheaper, but seriously what else can they cut from the system? Doesn't come with a controller?

I don't know why they would do this, but either way if it's a tarder pack or an hd dvd version it's not a good thing and it's a very strange move.

The only good thing can be a limited edition that doesn't add anything except a special look with a pack in or something, otherwise this has disaster written all over it...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Yeah but if it was just multiple colors you'd think they'd go for something more different than just gray.

I haven't seen a blue screen of death in over 8 years. I have seen 2 kernel panics though with a nice transparent gray overlay and coded messages. however I do have to say that computers do not crash that much anymoreor slow down as much as they used too.

It's a tough love kind of thing. I enjoy all the next gen consoles (although I don't own any of them). They all have their faults, and I like to kid around about it every now and again. Unfortunately, it isn't always appreciated. But, thanks for not flaming me

Hey, I love my 360, and I thought your joke was funny.  I think Legend11 is being a bit sensitive.  But, I don't think anyone could blame you Legend11.  I do see a good amount of real Xbox and PS bashing.

Hmmm, Microsoft (or Sony or Nintendo, for that matter) should release a version of the 360 (PS3 or Wii) that uses irridecence for colour.

That would be awesome, looking at the console from different angles and getting a different colour

Yeah I guess it could be a limited edition with a Halo 3 pack-in.  Maybe one with built-in wireless?  I guess having just built-in wireless wouldn't be enough to create a seperate sku.

Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding, ding we have a winner!! You were right!

I would have said it is probs that Halo SKU.
