Many of you will be aware that Fable was released on its own and then an expanded version called The Lost Chapters was released seperately some time later.

Though I'm sure any Fable 2 equivelant of The Lost Chapters would be cheaper than the original Fable 2 purchase, it would still be a lot to drop another $40-odd dollars on buying the whole game again with 5-10 hours of additional content. 

As I am a Fable 2 addict I would no doubt spend the extra cash (short of Fable 2 turning into a horrific nightmare in the month and half left until release), however I'm looking for opinions (or information even) on whether Microsoft/Lionhead are a) planning to make an expansion and b) planning to release the extras via DLC in addition to a retail release.

The impression I got from the 360zine interview is that Molyneux intends to do a lot with DLC. I can only imagine if there ever is a Fable 2: The Lost Chapters for retail, the new stuff would also be available via DLC.

I think given Microsoft's attitude it will happen.

They'd make more money if everyone that wants the extras bought the retail version, but you have to think most people would be unwilling to pay the retail price for them.

Hey starcraft, I just bought The Lost Chapters to play on my 360(I assume it's on the BC list) so I could get ready for Fable 2. I never played The Lost Chapters before, just the original game.

I'll comment on your topic an say, "Hell, I hope so, I want as much DLC as possible."

You got a comment on what I've stated?

MY first comment is that you'll love the Lost Chapters.  It provides a lot more depth to the Jack of Blades story, and takes you out beyond Hook Coast.

My second comment is "I hope you're right."
