2. How much bigger is the map in Fable II (how many cities/regions)? And how many hours of gameplay time can you put into Fable II?

Fable II is absolutely huge. There are 12 regions and each of those is about the size of the entire world in the first Fable. These regions are also riddled with tombs, caves, dungeons and demon doors. In terms of length of gameplay, if you just play through the core story and don't mind finishing the game as a poor lonely and unpopular hero (having ignored a large number of side quests) then I'd estimate 15-20 hours. Depending on how you play the time will, of course, vary but if you're a completist I'd multiply that basic time by five.

In another preview I read that the world isn't quite as large as Oblivion's world, but that it is incredibly detailed, involved and full of things to see and do.

I posted all 10 questions in a thread already. But that answer is a very good thing.

That is pretty amazing. I didn't expect it to be anywhere near that big.

But he also said it's much smaller than the world in Oblivion so. Big worlds are overrated though, mostly they just add to the traveling times.

Sweeet, i love a game with lots of side-quests and large explorable areas. This game gets more Epic by the day, cant wait.

Fable 2 is already huge, now it will only get... huger.

No the 360zine preview said it wasnt as big.  They did not say it was much smaller.  In fact, in the same breath they said there is a tonne to do and that the areas that are there are packed with NPC's etc......

I hope the game is as good as the first one and I'll be happy. I always felt the premise has unabounded potential and indeed I don't think that I could manage to "not" like a game with such so much going for it.

In other words, if you took the crappiest studio you know, and give one of their games the premise of Fable, the game couldn't possibly be all bad. When the cover of a book is so impressive, sometimes it's worth buying the damn thing for the cover alone.
