Forums - Sales - Are you tired of Xbox 360 price cuts?

i agree with everybody on price cuts are better for us but in the long run it bad for the market. why sell something so cheap if u dont have to? but back on it killing the market if u sell it cheap it hurts all the game companys cause there will be no money in it. why did they cut the price when they were already a hundred dollors cheaper then ps3 as is. so i personally think its two things an most likely xbox fans dont want to hear. ps3 is on there heels an there trying not to get caught or they kw there on there way out an take sony with them but theres the part thats bad for gamers which will kill the market i wish xbox never came in to the sence cause i belive the games last gen were better then the ones we got nw. i think comp has hurt the indusrty if xbox wasnt around game company would be really makeing next gen game because they would have to make it for blu ray which right now they are makeing games for the xbox an porting them over which i think is a waste of a blu ray disc. which i have had both consoles an compare exclusives sonys are much better in visuals gameplay but what stand out most is the visuals dont compare to sony. an i kw i got off topic a little bit but that point needed to be made.after all that in said i think xbox cuts are good for us now but well be paying for it later when theres no systems to buy cause there is no money in it. just to let u guys an girls kw this is my first post ever on any stie so bare with a little bit.

I wouldn't mind if Microsoft hands out 360s for free. Personally I would have little use for it though.

what a fanboy...

They had to cut the price, because their console is not worth what they were charging in the open market. By that I mean they were charging well over 300 dollars and on ebay 360s have been selling for under 200 dollars for a long time (the high end for a premium is 250 when someone gets REALLY lucky and its a 60GB one). When your console is selling for over a hundred dollars less then retail on ebay then clearly there isn't a whole lot of demand at the price they're charging (as shown by the sales which barely stay ahead of the PS2 worldwide even after the 299 20GB price cut.)

The Wii still sells for over retail since its hard to find (I sold my used one for 270, new ones still go for around 300 just like after launch) so obviously its price is fine. Though I would like a PS3 price cut to get more people on board they still sell for retail or slightly more (especially MGS4 packs) so clearly the 400 dollar price is one people are willing to pay still. I hope they knock it down semi soon though regardless but of course I understand that Sony unlike MS is in this for a profit not just some kind of living room domination ploy. If only Sony had buckets of money from inferior OS and office monopoly sales to burn 7 billion in a few years.

Why would a pricecut be a bad thing? I mean yeah, maybe it will affect Microsofts financials but...we're getting a cheaper console!

(maybe not me, but people who plan on buying a 360)

Well my room-mate bought xbox 360 at 329€ and boom next week its 279€.

It just pisses me off, dont know why.

Well price cuts are good (unless you're an early adopter).

It's the 300 PS3 skus that I'm tired of (and confused by).

Tag - "No trolling on my watch!"

Uhhhh....(2) price cuts is too much...hmmmmm.... lol. When is making a great console with an awesome library cheaper, EVER, a bad thing. I cant even believe you would open yourself up for this kind of ridicule LOL, oh well your entitled to your opinion.

u kw what made me a sony fanboy was when i had to take back 3 xboxs in 2weeks cause they broke thats ms when they came out with vista same thing garbage but xp was nice. ms dont care about gamers or anybody who has there software theyll get it out on the market with the bugs in there software an just fix it later i dont count that as a good company ms fans just follow blindly dont care what they put out just if it beats sony an thats not right

How can anyone be against price cuts unless it results in employees being laid off or mistreated or something like that (which clearly is not the case at MS)? That's just stupid.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

How do you survive in the real world? Anyways, I'm actually not tired of these price cuts, how could you be? Maybe annoyed but not tired...
