I was browsing around on neogaf and saw a thread that kinda talked on the 360 in Europe, in there some Europeans said some things that are in Europe like:

360 60GB cost the same as the Wii, Arcade model almost the same price as the PS2 and DS in Norway

360 60GB + Forza 2 + Gears of War + Viva Piñata + PGR4 + extra controller + remote for 249€ in Spain

360 60GB + Gears of War + PGR4 + extra controller + remote for 295€ in Holand

360 60GB with two games of your choice for 249€ in Germany.

We all know the 360 is not doing so hot in Europe, but I didn't know it was doing this bad, can some Europeans here confirm this? This is borderline ridiculous, the 360 being almost the same price as a PS2? If this is true, then I'm not sure what else MS can do with the 360 in Europe, more price cuts maybe?

hmm the ps2 isnt that expensive, its like 200$ while the 360 costs 280$

The wii is 1$ cheaper than the 360 60 gig. They both cost 440$ each

and ps3 costs around 760$

Prices in the UK:

Arcade: £160

Premium 60GB: £200

Elite: £260

PS3 80GB: £300

Wii: £180

not in France. Prices are:
arcade: 199 euros
prenium: 269 euros
Elite: 369 euros
No pack, but with a few offerings reimbursement, 20 euros for the purchase of individual games (beijing for example) ...
but it is true that the 360 has very poor results in france, especially when compared with the wii and ps3 ... we can think that this phenomenon is the same throughout the European territory ..

In Finland:

Wii: 249€
X360 Arcade: 199€ and Pro: 269€
PS2: 149€
PS3: 449€

If thats the case I really don't know what to say...

Considering whole of Europe is on here posting anti-360 and hoping 360 fails to sell I'm not surprised its having a hard time getting market share in Europe.

Ireland:

360: Core: €199

PS2: €129

So yeah, only €70 between a 360 and PS2.

Here in Spain the prices are

Arcade ,199 euros
Premium 60GB ,269 euros
Elite ,379 euros

And its usually bundled with one or two games ,the usual suspects Viva Piñata and Forza Motorstorm Two.

I was tempted some weeks ago ,there was an arcade with Viva Piñata ,Forza 2 and NInja Gaiden II for 219euros.

It was almost irresistible.I dont care about Viva Piñata and Forza 2 but Ninja Gaiden II appeals to me so I tried to buy it.To my surprise the guy at the counter told me that he wouldnt buy the Arcade and that I should opt for a Elite (369 without games...)because the Arcade had LOTS of hardware problems(namely RROD).That definitely stopped my impulse.One thing is three games and the console for 219 and other 369 with no games at all.

Some days later the Arcade was still unsold but the bundle promotion had dissappeared.Now it was only Forza 2 for 207 euros.

Either that shop makes more money off the elite or the guy at the counter didn't want you to buy a 360 :P
