nope. i got my ps3 last year as a holiday gift. dont plan on gettin a 360 this holiday either. if i wanna play gears...i'll jus go hit up my roommate. mean while i'll jus stick to my LBP and R2 at that time

I consider buying Wii Fit as a holiday gift but not a console.

Though my gf did consider buying a 360 for her brother at christmas... but then he's 17 and his tastes vary like the wind.... one day it's the Wii when he plays it a a friends, then the 360 when he sees the Uber graphixsss and then the PS3 when friends tell him Wohaaa Blue ray roxx it's HD (although he wouldn't buy a Blue ray disc himself...)

There are only two people I would ever be willing to spend that much money on for Christmas, and neither of them would appreciate an HD console. Particularily in the case of my wife buying her an HD console would get me a bad rap because it would look like I was pulling a Homer and getting it for her so I could play it.

I'm actually going to buy a PS3 as a gift for my dad of all people. He needs a blu ray player and the PS3 is a cost effective one, plus then there will already be a PS3 at his place when I visit. Win win.

Come in for the Blu Ray, stay for the games.

Scenario: Kid opens package on Christmas Day..... "But Dad, I wanted a PS3, with COD4 & Bioshock not an X360".

Dad replies...."Well son, money was a bit tight this year for you and your brother...but I got you the X360 Arcade, Bioshock & COD4 (and) I got your brother an X360 Arcade too, so you don't have to share. All for the same price as (1) PS3!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Hmmmmm, gee......I wonder what the parents will do this holiday LOL
