Tell her that you can stream videos, photos and music from your computer. If you have friends over you can set up a slideshow and play music at the same time.

Xbox 360 is very connected to friends, you can talk to your friends on Xbox Live and MSN messenger, while your watching movies on your TV. You have friends in other states that you would like to keep in contact with and you guys can voice chat and video chat with each other.

You can try games out before you buy them, which would save you from making a bad purchase and wasting money. Preview movies and shows before you purchase them on Xbox Live.

Your friends at work are always bugging you to play games with them online. Sometimes you feel bad because you can't have fun with them and you feel left out. Tell her that you'de rather play games with your friends online than go out to bars and waste money.

Pretty much, your telling her that you want to have friends and not have to go out and spend money all the time to spend time with them.

When you do get one, put pictures of you guys together as the wallpaper. Set up a slideshow of you and her with cool music. Tell her you love her.

Just so everyone knows a bit more about my situation.

I get to see movies for free, practically every day (job related).

I have an HTPC already (it runs Beyond TV). I also have my Xbox modded to work as an XBMC device to stream TV shows, pictures, music etc.

I have 3 computers in the house, all with dual core processors and plenty of hard drive space to go around. I also have 2 laptops and a bunch of networked devices.

I'm not going to buy the 360 as the guys that are married have said it's not worth the hassle. I just got married a year ago, I have some big things coming up. I'll have to stick with the Wii and DS this gen until the other systems are found in the bargain bin.

Lately the new hobby that's peaked my interest has been of the treehugging variety. I may start spending some money on investing in things that make sense to improve the quality of our lives.
