Forums - Sony Discussion - Konami sees little PS3 price cut impact, hints MSG4 on other platforms

Maybe rocketpig, but it seems after Hideo competes a MGS he saids it his last but every time Konami comes back begging for him.
Some how they get him back, so they must have something he wants or he would just leave.

As for Capcom they makes some pretty good games, but never trust them about game(s) being exclusive. Just look what they promised Nintendo fans with Capcom 5.

2) Hideo makes the calls

Oh, that's rich. If Konami told Hideo that they needed a 360 version ported, he'd do it unless he doesn't care about keeping his job.

The fact is that Hideo's team probably wouldn't even port it. They might have a satellite team do it for him since he's probably kinda busy making the game right now.

And Hideo has absolutely zero claim over the rights of the MGS intellectual property. Konami can do whatever they please with the game.

Kojima tells konami to go fuk themselfs, nexy day kojima becomes a 1st party dev for Sony.

If they were to go their seperate ways Komami has a HELL of alot more to lose then Kojima.

Well if Konami tells Kojima that he will make X millions of dollars if the game is ported, something tells me he won't protest too hard.

Ah, the rumor that refuses to die. Until it ends up becoming the truth!

I wouldn't be the least surprised to see MGS 4 on the 360 someday (and I'm hoping that turns out to be the case). It makes all the sense in the world. PS3 users shouldn't be sad if that eventually happens...remember guys, you got it first!

Sigh it is really hard to discuss on a forum when 90% of them are closed minded wii trolls.

Why is it anytime someone disagrees with you they are a Wii troll?  That's pretty ridiculous.  Personally I don't want to live in a world where my opinion was all that mattered, it would be boring.

Seriously though, I think the majority agree that without a signifficant sales increase a timed exclusive for MGS4 is pretty likely.  It will be a 6 month delay and you won't hear about it till after PS3 MGS4 so it won't effect their sales, but the game costs too much to make for them to let it fail.

 Because he is ^__^.

konnichiwa, the Wii was barely even mentioned in this thread when you started calling people Wii trolls.

Also, if "fans of a console" were all that drove sales, Nintendo and Sony would be in entirely opposite positions. Don't assume things will follow as they did last time, this industry can be mighty turbulent.

Konami would never fire Kojima, remember they have begged him to come out of retirement several times. The last time they actually gave him his own developement studio (kojima productions) with free reign over what they do.

My understading of the current situation with MGS4 is this. The final decision rest with Konami but they won't make a port without Kojima's approval. Given the high regard with which Konami hold Kojima I doubt they will change their policy any time soon.

You seriously think Konami would fire Kojima? Seriously without Metal Gear and his work, the company would be a tiny fraction of what it is now. They would rely on Pro Evolution...

I think it will be a 1 year timed exclusive. 6 months or so after it comes out on the PS3, they announce a 360 version and that comes out 6 months later. This is if the sales on the PS3 aren't as high as they hoped.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Maybe Konami will go Squaresoft/Namco and release side stories of MGS to Wii.

Lol, no surprise the Sony fanboys are trying to play down and write off this statement. Had this in anyway been a press release advantageous to Sony they would have jumped all over it and labeled it the equivical word of god in gaming.

Wonderful degeneration of comebacks too: "It ain't gonna happen" becomes "This doesn't mean its going to happen" becomes "This is a great thread for Wii trolls!" Ah there will be much crow eating by the end of this year.

And amusing how its assumed the Wii fanboys are the culprits of anti-Sony trollerly here when any possible port would be to the 360. Great logic there. Oh but i posted in this thread so obviously everyone is a Wii supporter now.
