Whoa, everybody in the crowd is white and has a cowboy hat?

Are you surprised?  They are all going out for meat and potatoes after the Convention.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Huckabee would have been the best choice for him. Seriously, the baggage Palin has could overwhelm THE mothership and Noah's ark.

My heavens - all this does is reveal one thing to me about McCain. He's a fighter jock for life - living life between his legs, well, with a few pops of Viagra these days.

i just can't believe their trying to build sarah as being "experienced". such a lol and a half.

speaking of loller coasters....

Obama tells CNN's Anderson Cooper on "360" that running his campaign counts as executive experience.

source: http://blogs.suntimes.com/sweet/2008/09/obama_tells_cnns_anderson_coop.html

On CNN's "360" Obama "also countered critics who suggest that he has less executive experience in this situation compared to Alaskan Gov. Sarah Palin saying, "...my understanding is, is that Governor Sarah Palin's town of Wasilla has, I think, 50 employees. We have got 2,500 in this campaign. I think their budget is maybe $12 million a year. You know, we have a budget of about three times that just for the month. So, I think that our ability to manage large systems and to execute, I think, has been made clear over the last couple of years.

And, certainly, in terms of the legislation that I passed just dealing with this issue post-Katrina of how we handle emergency management, the fact that many of my recommendations were adopted and are being put in place as we speak, I think, indicates the degree to which we can provide the kinds of support and good service that the American people expect."

Your sig is hillarious, but a little disturbing.

Yeah, Guiliani can definitely speak to a crowd.

Giuliani is a fucking train wreck. This is the most pathetic speech I've ever seen.

Has he said a single sentence that wasn't horribly insulting or based on an appeal to fear?

Biden was right about Giuliani. Every sentence that comes out of his mouth has a verb, a noun, and 9/11 in it.
