It's Mountain King. I had that game and it would scare the hell out of me when that spider would come out on the bottom level. Makes me want to turn the game off if I ever fell down there! |
Thank you so much. I have been trying to remember that since my childhood.
Can love bloom on the battlefield? Proud supporter of this gen!!!

I've received most of my packages of the Atari games. 8 packs total... 3 that remain.

I had this back in the day. I would always go down to the basement to play in the 80's. Then people had the NES and I remember seeing it for the first time and man, did I want the Nintendo. I've been a Nintendo fan ever since. Although I still remember the Atari 2600 fondly. To be honest though, most of the games don't hold up well in my opinion. Depsite that, I wouldn't mind the idea below.

I think that would be a great idea and the more games, the better. I just hope it wouldn't monopolize the Virtual Console since there aren't enough SNES, N64 and Genesis games released so far.
I'll come up with something better eventually...
Ahh... the memories.
I starting gaming on my uncle's Atari 2600 back when I was really young. Probably 5 or younger. It's still at my grandparent's house along with about 30 games if I remember correctly. Maybe I should ask them if I can have it.

I have so much love for my 2600, right now all 3 of mine are retired to my closets cuz I have a PS2 collection of Atari games as well as a PS1 collection of Activision titles. Plus I plain just don't have the room next to the PS2, Gamecube, Dreamcast, Genesis, and NES i have out already.
But dang I love that system, it was the first system I owned (that or my sega genesis, i don't remeber, got them within a year from each other when i was like 8). I payed $5 for it at a yard sale, oh the memories. Missle Command will aways be in my top 5 games of all time no matter how old it gets, that game never gets old for me.

For complex games on 2600 I don't think there's anything that tops Raiders of the Lost Ark (nor is anything quite as nearly impenetrable--at least to an 8 year old upon its release).
As for my all-time fav games on the platform: Yar's Revenge and Pitfall 2.

It was one of the consoles with porn games on it, yes, but it's far from the only one (Custer's Revenge being, far and away, the most infamous).
