As much as those of us outside of Japan and the US would like a price cut so are prices are inline with each other again i doubt Microsoft can afford it.

At the moment im guessing they believe they can absorb the losses from the pricecut and still turn a profit -- with them probably looking at a price cut early 2009 for PAL regions... a similar strategy to 2008...

Microsoft got in red last quarter for slashing the price in Europe and same thing will happen this quarter for the american price cut. Microsoft wants to earn some money to they wont cut the price in europe a second time this year.

dont talk crap mate for the last 20 years us europeans have been reipped of by every company, late release ,dates very expensive games ($80) so how did u work out that americans are getting ripped off ?

European prices are inflated in comparison to NA and Asian regions.

Microsoft were in the red because they purchased Danger.......

UK is in a recession and the European inflation rate was 3.8%. A lot of people are having tough times. I don't know if a price cut is coming but I am sure people will be happy about it.
