All i've seen is reviews between 100 and 90.

Did I miss something?

I agree so far, the game (I reached Civ stage) is great, it has some problems (the mouse controls bring some problems with the camera), and it ain't the deepest sim available (I completed thr Tribal stage in less than two hours), but it's a lot of fun.

So the burning question now arises. Which will be huger? SPORE or LBP? SPORE focuses more on the creatures and being able to literally make anyiihg you want, while LBP focuses on unlimited level design. Who do you think will come out the winner?

As a computer programmer I have to give Spore the edge since making AI that works with EVERY little thing you can think of and makign sure they "use" all their features the correct way completely blows any level/camera/movie editor that is made, no matter how extensive it is.

Now if you will all excuse me, I have to go kill peeps with my pimped out star destroyer!

Unknown Dev team vs Will Wright.

Less then 30 Mil Installbase at time of release VS Who can count installbase.

Taking whats on PC and making it for consoles VS Something completely new.

I think there is little chance LBP will reach spore levels... and that's just counting the retail sales and not the fact that Spore is going to do a LOT of sales through digital distribution.

Spore will sell well not only on pc's but on macs aswell. Not to mention the wii and ds versions and digital distribution.

Will Wright created the sims, his name alone will make it outsell LBP.

This goes to show how stupid the review system is. Comparing Spore to GTAIV is equivalent of comparing the pile of gold on the street with the pile of shit from the hobo on the corner. Yeah sure you can throw graphics and sound quality against spore, but that just means I can play it on a 5 year old computer (Have you guys seriously even looked at the recommended reqs? it's amazing) with a soundtrack that actually fits the game. I also found the alien chatter pretty cool, for the first 5 minutes of playing I thought it was actual English with some serious accent or something. The gameplay of Spore transcends anything GTAIV has to offer in any way, just by pure innovation. Yet here is Spore sitting on a 9.2 and GTA on a 10 when if anything Spore should have a 10 and GTA an 8.

If i wasn't straight I could kiss you, finally someone admitting that LBP is absolutely nothing new, and PCs have had that "game," let's call it a level editor from now on since that suits it better, since UE back in '98, and even more ridiculously versatile editors nowadays.

A bunch more reviews are up. Losing faith in all that is human faster than ever. Thank god this is a Will Wright game so it will literally sell millions no matter what.
