Forums - General - Gay Gene found. Do you abort?

Wasn't this like proved that there isn't a gay gene. I remember back in HS researching if there's a such thing as a gay gene cuz this girl I thought was hot was gay . To answer ur question, now I don't think I would, but I'm pretty sure I would be influenced to do so. I'm Dominican and my people are very, lack of a better word, close minded when it comes to homosexuals.

no. There just hasn't been a 'proof' that any one gene causes homosexuality. Ten years ago they didn't have our genome mapped at all. It just takes time. Every year it seems they find the specific genes that cause one thing or another.

What is going on here?
Isn`t this VGchartz?
Why is there a thread on both the nature of sexuality and abortion?
Please someone get rid of this thread before people start saying stuff they`ll regreat later on!

Pure turth, you never know when one of you all will be nominated for Vice-President out of the blue in the future!

That's why you don't give any personal information linking you to your username on any internet area.

Being from Europe, I wouldn't really care. It's silly how homosexuality is still an issue in some parts of the Western world.

La Republica Dominicana is also overwhelmingly Catholic, so I find it dubious that they would pressure you to abort a fetus.

Goodness no. I would only consider it for a condition which would effect the kid's ability to have a happy pain-free life. Homosexuality in no way fits that definition. I'd rather a gay nice kid than a straight asshole kid.

James watson said he would a few years back. But he's like 92 so who cares.

For me though I would not abort the kid. I wouldn't care if my offspring was gay/lesbian, in fact I would be positively supportive.

It is definitely not a choice and anybody who thinks it is has to ask themselves why anybody would choose to be part of a minority that is subject to discrimination, assbeatings, occasional murder, and "separate but equal" rights.

It's not a gene either.

It's a natural process that occurs in some pregnancies due to the communication/transfer of hormones in the womb.

I hope you all have gay kids.

No! How immature would a parent be to abort their child on these grounds.

Now if it was going to have Down's syndrome or something like that, then I can understand. It will be a burden on you and them for the child's entire life.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

It is a choice though Rubang, in that we're all bi, and some people are just too scared to enjoy all that life has to offer.

Silly monosexuals.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

People who are saying that it's definatively choice, or it's definately biological are completly wrong, as the cause of homosexuality has yet to have been discovered, or at least, it hadn't of been discovered when I studied it about 5 months ago.

And, no, what would be the point? Just think, every hot girl has a gay friend, and if your child has hot girls as friends, then they will be bringing those hot friends around to your house at some point.
