I think it will be released on time. It's a major IP and it's too close to push back now. If they were to change the date, which I doubt, I think they would move it forward for better press.
I'm probably going to buy Fallout 3 because I loved Oblivian so much, but I just can't imagine me liking the RPG format with guns. Guess we'll see.

IDK but I don't think a delay will happen. I don't care about fallout. Never played any of the games and don't plan to. I didn't even know it came out at the same time until I read your post. Funny thing is I just uploaded a new screenshot on that page but other than that it's not on my radar.
The only way I see LBP being delayed is if something major happens to where they can't release it until they get it fixed. But the likely hood of this happening is slim to none.
I really don't see them pushing back the date.
There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

LBP over Fallout 3.
No way. LBP is bigger than Fallout 3. It will have a bigger marketing push and have a bundle (europe only??). If anything Fallout 3 should be delayed.
they definitely won't push it back due to other games releasing next to it... i can say that much is 100%.. whether they will delay it due to unforeseen problems has yet to be foreseen
