Forums - General - Quick Star Wars Question

Ignore all the pansy's who forget that they first watched episodes 4-6 with a child's glasses and nothing will ever live up to things like that.

I would watch and have in the order of the story, 1-6. I have not seen the clone wars but since it is merely a setup for the cartoons I would not consider it a big deal or a big part of the 'cannon'.

Around the Network

You're all wrong guys. The best way to watch the episodes *if you're determined to watch all six* goes like this

4 - 5 - 1 - 2 - 3 - 6.

you've got to start with New Hope and follow it up with Empire. But once you've had the big reveal, you then watch the back story of how that happened. And once you know the back story, you finish it off with the epic conclusion.

It's not about when they were made or what times they represented, it's about what tells the best story. And when you're including the three prequels, you need all the help you can get.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

I would say watch 456 then 123....then watch in order 123456

I think you guys are forgetting it's not just fanboys of the original trilogy saying you gotta watch the best movies first.

Those are the first movies, and 1,2 and 3 are prequels. They came after the other movies, and even though they're chronologically before the other movies, they're meant to be seen with the original trilogy in mind.

Clever nods, explanations of stuff you saw in the OT...it doesn't mean as much if you watch the prequels first.

Also, watching 4,5,6,1,2,3 is a progression of better special effects and CGI, as well as better and more crazy lightsaber choreography in each movie.

The first Star Wars' lightsaber fight was pretty much crap...two old guys clashing swords. Empire Strikes Back has Vader laying it on pretty hard against Luke...pretty intense. And then Return of the Jedi has a very nice duel between Vader and Luke at the end. Phantom Menace introduced the double-bladed lightsaber and had a huge fight with great choreography. Attack of the Clones had the first lightsaber fight with Yoda, along with an epic battle with tons of Jedi, and Revenge of the Sith's fight with Anakin and Obi Wan was over the top but super intense.

I love the old movies so much more than the new ones, but it is a little depressing to see the drop in technology if you go 1,2,3, and then back down to 4.

Other than the models though...those still look better than most of the CGI in any of the new movies...

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
