Final Fantasy VI

  • It was the first game I really got into
  • The story was fantastic
  • The music was fantastic
  • No game, even FFIV, had a story anywhere close to that one.  The game was way ahead of its time
  • It's the game that made me want to get into game development
  • It's the game that inspired my huge Dungeons and Dragons 9 part campaign (the first three take the group from level 3 to 30, the others are spinoff campaigns but still part of it), wrote a book over it (which also made me realize I'm not in any way a writer, just a storyteller), and made me the gamer I am today

I have restrained from calling one game 'favourite' and now have four favorite games which are all very different.
-Super Smash Bros. Brawl: The most complete game ever.
-Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition: The most intense game ever.
-Ocarina of Time: The most epic game ever.
-Metal Gear Solid 3: The most immersing game ever. (This is a very new entry though, just got the game, but after five hours in I can confidently say that it's one of the best games ever made).

I drink your milkshake.

Donkey Kong Country 2:
Kicks so much ass.

Favorite game Final fantasy 7 , beacuse it is so good.

Shenmue.......... from the moment i saw the intro i knew i was going to be getting something special, I really felt for ryo straight away because of the tragic circumstances of how the first fmv played out, so after that it was not just ryos personal mission for vengeance but it was also my own personal mission to right the wrongs that had just happened

Then upon leaving the Hazuki residence i strolled down the street and my amazing journey began

Upon walking down the street the 1st QTE event of the game kicks in and im blissfully unaware its gonna happen and end up getting a football kicked in to my face, after dusting myself down and asking some of the locals some questions my mission really is truly ready to begin

Wow, the visuals in Shenmue as a lot of people will tell you were way ahead of their time, walking around the various parts of town and seeing the towns people going about their everyday business really was groundbreaking back then (1999/2000)

As i delve further in to the game theres just so much going on, there are virtua fighter style fights in the game where more often than not ryo will be facing off against multiple ememies (think of it as a kind of a 2D side scrolling beat em up like streets of rage but with 3D fighting and of course those amazing virtua fighter style moves) the fights can be very testing and your by no means gonna win them all first time around

So, aside from wondering around and getting in to the occasional fight with the locals what else is there to shenmue?

Well, it has a day to day real life kind of structure, so if you spoke to someone and they imformed you that person B was at location C thats fine, but location C may not be open yet therefore giving you some time to kill, you can spend that time by buying varous items at shops like sega collectables like a miniture sonic toy or a miniture akira toy, you can go to various shops and do various things, theres always somthing to do to help kill the time.

Of course one of the best ways to kill time in the game is to go to the amusement arcades and its there that you will be having most of the fun whilst you wait for location C to open

In the arcades you can play Fruit machines and you can play actual origional versions of classic Sega games like outrun and space harrier

OR if that does noty appeal to you then you could always go down to the pub and have a game of darts

As the story progresses you learn more and more fighting moves and the QTE'S become more and more challenging and intense

The sheer amount of enemys that are attacking you towards the end is also astounding, at one stage ryo and one of his buddys are up against 40 enemys in what can only be described as an epic battle

Theres so much to shenmue that there simply is not enough space here to describe just how great this masterpeice is

Oh, did i mention that you have to get a job? (travel and food aint free you know and neither is your accomodation, if you dont pay your tenants they will get mighty upset with you lol)

So, the final verdict

Gameplay 11/10
Visuals 11/10
Replayability 11/10
Sound 11/10

Overall score 11/10

A TRUE GAMING MASTERPEICE........ bottom line________________

What, noone has chosen Super Mario Galaxy.

Whenever i pop that game in i am still in awe a both how beautiful it is, but mostly about how innovative every level is.

Super Mario Bros. 3, one of the first games I played and really enjoyed it.

Gran Turismo -its fun as fuck - buying cheap cars, tuning them up, winning races, then buying better cars! plus Gran Turismo 5 has legendary graphics and will now include ferarri as well as over 1000 other cars and hopefully vehicle damage.

best racing game ever created up to this day.......played it day and night
