About those movers & shakers numbers, those increases say nothing about the actual number of items sold but only about their position in the bestseller ranking. So an item moving from 6th to 3rd for instance will show a 100% increase, but this could actually only be a small increase just enough to get above the number 3 to 5 (even decreasing sales could get you up when other products drop off even faster). So that 2400% increase only means PS3 went from 25th to 1st, but it says absolutely nothing about the increase in sales.

Yes but you can track the sales in amazon .com if you check this out

and apparently ps3's have been flying of shelves, or atleast the internet watever you wana call it.

It's not an increase of a few units sold...

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
All I have to say about this is, if the PS3 only sold 10,000 in the week, that would mean over 25% of PS3's were sold from amazon.com
Let's see what we get for PS3 now... *sob sob sob* PS3 started selling.

What? that doesnt even make sense? Why would the ps3 only sell 10,000 units in one week after the price drop?

There are a few things which need to be brought up in order to make this meaningful ...
As much as a 1 week 25,000 to 50,000 sales increase in North America would be great for the PS3 it really needs a long term sales increase and it needs to start gaining ground on the Wii and XBox 360; if sales return to 'normal' next week or the week following that demonstrates something far different than if sales continue at this pace for the next 6 months.
Well 2 weeks ago, the PS3 sold around 3-5/hour on amazon.com, and from 12:22 to 12:42 they list it as selling 23 consoles.
So that is at least 10x more/hour.
