Funny, these are the two things I hear most lately from Sony fanboys.  If that's not the pot calling the kettle black i don't know what is.

 

If 115 million PS2 users really wanted a PS3 that badly, why aren't they buying them?  They're at 4 million right now.  That's 3.5% of the PS2 userbase.  If it's so badly wanted, where is the remaining 96.5%?

Well, so far it's been #1 for a week (well, 6 days as of this thread starting). It may be a shallow victory, but a victory nonetheless. As much as everyone around here scrutinizes weekly sales trying to find trends, spikes and consistently compares sales numbers I'd think this would be an interesting week. Instead, you have people posting about everything they can find that's bad about the situation. If the tables were turned and Sony was topping the sales charts for months and the Wii or 360 had one good week, you would all be cheering instead of jeering.

And Neos, your not getting any more of a reply than this. Your two three posts (in this whole thread) have contributed even less to this thread. Where does that put you? (and that's a rhetorical question)

It looks like more than 4k units already sold since price drop (Amazon). Only between 14.07 (10.03) and 15.07(13.22)  they sold 610 Ps3's. I'm curious how does it looks like globally in NA.

Maybe the 96.5% are still waiting for a certain price bracket or a sequel to their favorite game.  If they hated the Playstation so much, they'd have already bought a 360... (and I left the Wii out as I see many people buying two consoles this gen.  The 360 and PS3 are more of a direct competition in my eyes.)

And there are plenty of "smaller" name titles on the Playstation consoles.  Many of them just don't get the marketting that the big names do.

Seriously how many mash ups of Mario and Zelda games are there?
FF only on 14-19 i know it sounds big but up against the amount of Mario,Zelda or Metroid thats nothing.
MGS up to about 5 maybe 6 still nothing compared to Nintendo's over worked mascots.
GT at less than MGS.
Hot Shots Golf is at 5.
Even combined these dont equal to even half the Mario games.
Dont try to spin this by saying my numbers are wrong because they might be but there are more Mario,Zelda and Metroid games than you can shake a stick at!

PS3 is number 1.
PS3 Blu Ray remote is number 2.
Wii passes PS3 controller for the first time since the cut at number 3.
PS3 controller is number 4.
Resistance: Fall of Man is number 11.
Ninja Gaiden Sigma is number 21.
NCAA Football 08(PS3) is number 37 [360 version is number 15, PS2 version is number 49]
The Darkness (PS3) is number 56 [360 version is number 40]
Rainbow Six: Vegas (PS3) is number 62 [360 version is number 61]
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (PS3) is number 69 [PC and 360 versions are not on the list, but the Shivering Isles Expansion for PC is number 93]

Iam not surprised its selling so well.

PS3 was $600
Remote is $25
RE Apocalypse is $20
5 free Bluray movies rebate worth minimum $100

so something that cost $745 a week ago now costs $499 you save $245, also iam sure The High deff junkies are picking this up like mad.

The Wii ranking is basically irrelevant, since most of the times it's out of stock. If it was in stock, it would probably be #1 almost always...
