Hmm, I wonder how big demand really is... but millions and years sounds a bit exaggerated. In Europe sale already decreases every week.


Still #1.  Was the elite 360 only #1 for a weekend?  It's been a week so far for the PS3.

The Elite is a joke it aint even Elite it looks like a wannbe PS3 theyre both black, have HDMI, big HDD. if thy wanted the Elite to go up against the PS3 atleast add Wifi, card readers, and a HDDVD drive.

The most important thing for me of all this "price drop" is fact people want PS3. Only thing against the system is price. It's hard to imagine what happen when price will be around $299. Everyone who thinks PS3 is already dead  should think once again about it. Playstation brand is extremely strong and it's damn far from death.

I yearn for the day it is under $500 AUD ($425 USD)
Currently it's $1000 AUD ($850 USD)

I'll get one then for sure, the weird thing about all this kber81 is how it is selling so bad in Japan despite not costing as much as anywhere else, has the Playstation brand died off there or are there just no games whatsoever to interest the Japanese as of yet.

The PS brand will not die like MS wants it to and the Xbox brand will not see as many genrations as the PS brand or a decade or more title of favorite console.all the people who said the PS3 would fail said the PS2 would fail and everyone who says the 360 will succeed are the same people who said the original xbox would sell more than the PS2. MS pays these people to say these things because of their apparently endless supply of money but MS will stop and close the games division if it doesnt start making a profit soon.
Most of the people who had a PS2 want a PS3 thats like 115million people who will probably buy a PS3 can Nintendo or MS hope for such a figure on their consoles..........didnt think so.

In Japan the Wii and DS steal all the sales and there isnt many games that are targeted at the Japanese yet i think there is 2 that are out Folklore and Ninja Gaiden Sigma. When LittleBigPlanet is released in Japan expect alot of sales for the PS3.

115 million people don't own a PS2, alot of them are replacements for the slim line, and don't forget the PS2 fats broke easily.

I and alot of my friends and family have a PS2, none of them I know care about the PS3 at all.

 Yep there are definitely a lot of people who would like to get a PS3.

I still have a launch PS2 and it works fine. Ok minusing replacements say what no lower than 95million but no higher than 110million thats still alot of possible consoles bought. The PS3 best asset is the PS2 because 1.user base 2.companys putting sequels of PS2 games on the PS3.

 And then we complain about Nintendo releasing only sequels to their franchises...
