If 115 million PS2 users really wanted a PS3 that badly, why aren't they buying them? They're at 4 million right now. That's 3.5% of the PS2 userbase. If it's so badly wanted, where is the remaining 96.5%?

Maybe the 96.5% are still waiting for a certain price bracket or a sequel to their favorite game.  If they hated the Playstation so much, they'd have already bought a 360... (and I left the Wii out as I see many people buying two consoles this gen.  The 360 and PS3 are more of a direct competition in my eyes.)

And there are plenty of "smaller" name titles on the Playstation consoles.  Many of them just don't get the marketting that the big names do.
