Forums - Nintendo - Pokémon Fangame Preview Video

sigh, I know your not Nintendo and that it's a fangame, but I would have loved if you actually fix one of the biggest gripes I have with Pokemon, and that's the lame battle animations.

The reason I'd like you to fix the lame battle animation is because Nintendo ain't gonna fix it, so who better to fix it then a fangame maker.

I can't draw. If someone wants to make additional frames of animation for every Pokémon in the game then I would be happy to include them.

As for suggestions:
I had always two wishes for pokemon games
-To be able to catch all pokemons from all generations
-To hear when a pokemon is called the real scream (like PI-KA-CHU), not some bits that don't make any sense.
The first one looks to be on the way. If you can do the second you'll be a god, but I don't want to force you

1. I might include every Pokémon. I was planning to only put in the best (i.e. a balanced range, not all-uber) from each agme, but you're right, it is a big problem in Nintendo's series that only a fangame could fix. It's just a little repetitive entering all the data in manually.

2. I'd love to, but I can't, unless a sound artist is willing to record them for me. It is very, very hard to make sound effects like that.

Around the Network

trust me Soleron, if I could draw my self I'd volunteer to help you out, but I'm simply crap.

The fact that pokemon don't say their own name, just like they do in the anime, also annoys me but not as much as the 1998 pokemon battle animations that 10 years later are still being used by nintendo.

Yeah; it annoys me too. A non-sucky console (i.e. 3D) game would help. That doesn't mean Colosseum, that means real Pokémon.

Sorry for not replying again until now. The only thing I can think of is having every single Pokémon catchable. I really want that in the games, but Nintendo took a wrong turn with Ruby/Sapphire and never looked back.
