Comcast is a cable operator and ISP in the United States. It got in trouble recently for slowing speeds of users who were uploading too much (torrents).

And its cap is not really that restrictive. It is equal to 125 SD movies per month -- not a big deal.

For what it is worth, the median use is 2G-3G per month. And other providers have caps -- or are testing caps -- beginning at 5G.

250 gig is very little, if you guys monitor your bandwith and one of those ppl who always watch online video like news, sports, youtube and porns. Even without the evil use of torrents and other pirating activities, you can max out that 250 gig in less than a month.

250g is a lot, honestly. I dont like the idea of a cap anymore than you do, but to put it in perspective, running an MMO like WOW 24x7, for the entire month, you would still be under the cap by like 4g. Story below......

Please dont flame, I download ALOT of movies from XBL, and my wifey uses the comp all the time. I dont anticipate hitting the cap. People using a monthly subscribed service on a lap-top that allows use anywhere (Verizon) (AT&T) ect... have had caps for a while now, and a lot less than 250g.

Does it suck....YES.....will I really need more.....Man I hope not.
