/sigh and people wonder why ethical folks stay out of politics

I have nothing but disdain for this topic and the way in which it has been handled. The interest here was in simply spreading the story (true or false). Then when it turns out to be false(as it now appears on all counts based on what MrB and Akuma have added)..then what?

Will Rubang create a topic to make up for it? Would the topic get nearly the same attention? The answer is of course a resounding "No!", because the damage will be done.

There has to be responsibility in reporting this kind of thing for precisely this reason. This is a person's life, not just a political game. Which is exactly why major networks have not covered the story yet.

PS - Whether the story is true or false doesn't matter to what I've just said. Its about responsible reporting and being absolutely certain before you trash someone's reputation...even with allegations. There are several similarly trashy stories about Obama out there..yet I do not post them because they are tabloid level trash until proven otherwise. I doubt you many of you would be as gleeful if someone posted those.

basically what I said minus the personal attacks and with a little more tact.

I do not think think will hurt her in the long run at all. In fact it make the other side look worse for striking sooo low. This is not like Swiftboat where there was no concrete answer (it was John Kerry's word versus Swiftboats) with this she can PROVE she is the mother, then she has spin back on the far left to make them look worse.

End of 2009 Predictions (Set, January 1st 2009)

Wii- 72 million   3rd Year Peak, better slate of releases

360- 37 million   Should trend down slightly after 3rd year peak

PS3- 29 million  Sales should pick up next year, 3rd year peak and price cut

In a perfect world, talking politics is punishable by death.

I give that post a 9.6.

Thank god for the disable signatures option.

Why am I hesitant to believe a person who claims that low political attacks are uncalled for who also regularly compares Obama to Hitler............

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. In all seriousness, I do not believe it.

But it's not like you can just do a maternity test.  MT's are not reliable in Mother/Grandmother comparisons.  They are only used for proving parentage in immigration, adoption, and in vitro cases.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

The Obama to Hitler comparison had nothing to do with their beliefs. I was referring to their charismatic ability to persuede their followers of anything. I was using the propaganda technique of association. I took a similiar charteristic in each person and set them side by side. The reason it does not work with hitler, is because it is way overused (the dems burnt it all out with bush)

Now if you could not see that is what I was doing you are an idiot. Not saying you are one. But if you could not tell then.. yea....

I don't think this will hurt the left. It's not like Obama or anybody is gonna jump on this. They'll easily distance themselves from us wackjobs, just like Bush distanced himself from the Swift Boat guys until it was discovered the administration was helping them with huge donations. But even after that, it didn't hurt Bush at all.

I still can't find out why her daughter had the longest case of mono ever or why she hid her pregnancy. Both of these at the same time is what drew the attention to this madness. Either one alone is still really weird.

So why wouldn't comparing him to Martin Luther King be more appropriate?  He also was blessed with a very grandiloquent way of speaking, yet he did not kill over 4 million Jews.  Plus he was black like Obama.

Lets see where Obama falls on that chart.

Good speech deliverer?

Obama: Yes

MLK: Yes

Hitler: Yes

Killed 4 million Jews?

Obama: No

MLK: No

Hitler: Yes

Black?

Obama: Yes

MLK: Yes

Hitler: No

Well I guess that settles it.  Looks like Obama is more similar to MLK than Hitler.  So this is my gift to you:

I love the idea of the cheese cat being a gift. I just imagine you handing it to him, and the cat not moving, and the cheese being really old by then.

Hitler:
Supporting Military use
Decorated veteran
Being an injured veteran
Right wing.
Fought in a war for a country that was embarrassed by that war
Was into younger women
Anger problem

I don't think Obama has to worry about being like Hitler.

Both comparisons are ridiculous.

Shit!  I just figured it out!  Hitler was really the one who impregnated Sarah Palin's daughter!  He is into young women, and here we have an adolescent who is supposedly pregnant...I should have seen it so much sooner.

Alright, its my bedtime folks, but its been fun.  See you guys tomorrow.
