This entire generation, Microsoft has been working on making sure there are good quality and good selling games for its console. Microsoft will continue to make sure good games come to its console. A big strategy Microsoft is implementing is the fact that it is trying to get as many 360 exclusives as it can, and then making its competitors previously exclusive games multiplat on their console. Microsoft is also using its high softwar sales/ attach rate to encourage developers to continue to make games on the 360. Microsoft is trying to show that, whatever type of gamer you are, there is bound to be a good game waiting for you to play.
BTW, this is from a comment I made in a previous post.

Too bad they failed on the hardware side of things then, games can only be played on a console that works afterall. Gazz thinks off his 2 360's that failed on him....... I did sell my refurbished 360 (number 3 that was) and bought a new GPU for my pc and got to play all 360 games on that other gaming platform called the pc though.

And what makes you think I care about Gears of war at all? It was a pretty ok game and all for once, but with Far cry 2, Silent Hill homecoming, Brothers in arms: Hells highway (yes, I am a WWII game player and I live a few miles from where the game takes place), Little big planet and Resistance 2 I am already completely lost for time. It's also just a small list of games I already have in preorder and there are probably more since I also have a Wii, DS and PSP.
My point is still the same. Games can only be played on hardware that functions and the simple truth is that MS completely dropped the ball there. Also, I remember Gears of war 1 not coming to PC no matter what just like they say about number 2 now.
