mass effect trilogy is not exclusive

Two years ago you would probably said ' Are you telling me that SE/TRI Ace are going to pass on millions of dollars with releasing Star Ocean IV on X360 EXCLUSIVE? And I would totally agree with you but SE/Tri Ace didn't followed the sense from a Business perspective why Would Disney and SE would do it?

We don't know what type of deal it took to make those games exclusive, MS may have given enough money for it to be worthwhile. Those are pretty small franchises compared to KH or anything that has global sales potential in the 10+ million sales range. If Lego Star Wars can do 4-5 million sales, I see no reason why KH shouldn't be a 10+ million seller using a multi-platform strategy.
the game not being released on the ps2 or the ps3 would be ridiculous imo. I dont think it will be exclusive, but it if its released on the wii, it should be released on the ps2 as well.
If its released on the 360 it should be released on ps3 as well.
Is the KH portable game exclusive??? No. It's going to both the DS and PSP.
Seems pretty clear to me the franchise is not tied to any single platform.

Actually, they are two different games. But the series in itself, indeed, is not tied to any single platform.
Oooh god, another KH thread.
And Soriku's all over it, talking about how Nomura has no influence on where the game goes.
I could stick around and argue that point is incorrect, but I don't want to get into a argument over a game that hasn't even been announced yet.

Sorry, I just had to comment on this. Games like KH3 take 4-5 years? Then explain to me why KH2 was released roughly 2½ years after KH1. Naturally, those 2½ years can not have been development time. Even assuming that they began development of KH2 full-out right after the first one (which is highly unlikely considering KH: Final Mix and Chain of Memories), the game will be completed for a while before it is released. I believe KH2 had a development time of, absolutely maximum, 1½ years. Proper development, not just throwing together some teaser for a show or something. So what makes you believe KH3 will have so much longer development time? |
How dare you to comment on my post!!! (PS: You should not say sorry you are free to quote me and comment on it

1- I am pretty sure you know that devs needed more time to make N64 games than making NES games with this I want to say they propbably (and in fact I am pretty sure about it) that they also need more time making a Wii/PS3 game and push the system than making a PS2 game.
2- When they made KH2 they probably stole a lot from KH1 like the engine( I assume it) and probably just used the same characters from KH1 and gave them an upgrade (Not every character of course); This makes it for them a lot easier to create Kh2 and cost them less time.
Chain of Memories was made by the same team? And did they put a lot into KH final mix? Who knows maybe the final mix extra's were already finished and did they release it later to get more sales?

1. Of course, but that doesn't mean they need 4-5 years. I think most games, that aren't shovelware, have a development cycle somewhere between 1 and 2 years. Then again, this is Square we're talking about...
2. Perhaps. The graphics are certainly touched up, however, and there are new worlds as well as new abilities, and new models even for the recurring characters (Lion King Sora/Donald/Goofy, for example)
Maybe Chain of Memories wasn't made by the same team, I'm actually not entirely sure. What you say about KH: Final Mix is quite possible indeed, but I still think putting KH3 at 4-5 years is quite an overstatement.

True. If they can spend $50 million for some DLC I would not be surprised they spend the double of that amount for KHIII or even more.
And yes SO is not that big of a Franchise still they had a $23 million revenue only in Japan.
And yups KH III could be a multi-platform game I never said it couldn't or did I? Only I gave it a very small chance it will be multiplaform if it release on the Wii.
