yea the gap will shrink but it is far too big to make up the gap in NA anyway. If the ps3 does pass the 360 in NA it will be 2011 at the earliest, and at that point it doesn't really mean much.

I think it will overtake the 360 at the earliest Sept/Oct 2009

You obviously haven't considered the maths. PS3 is doing well in terms of sales and I'm sure will pick up even more but it is just not possible for it to overtake the 360 in NA within the timeframe you suggest.
