Stan85 said: I know it`s hard to let go of your ACE fanboys... I mean the 360 library of games...you can`t use that. The price of the 360... you can`t use that, after the next week price cut. Even the "50$ every year on Live" is getting old.
So the RRoD is the critical factor here. I know,it`s hard,but... I`m not even going to bother with the 3 year warranty,I want you to sleep well tonight. |
Woot! Was waiting for that one. This will be short and fun, ok, here I go.....
The library difference has shortened tremendously over the last year, and only will get smaller. Many of those games that put the 360 above the PS3's quantity are still available for the PS2. A lot of sports games and liscence games did not come to PS3, as it was not out, but it did go to 360/PS2. Is it fair to still count these games against the PS3, no. So lets talk about the games that premiered on the 360 only that the PS3 does not have, not that many of them. Majority of games these days are multiplat form and can be played on any system (dont get me wrong, I hate multiplat). Everytime an Xbot says the 360 has more games I ask him what games does he play the most. His answer is usually something like Madden or COD4. I call BS because these games can be found on EVERY system. When you look at the actual EXCLUSIVE games to the systems the 360 is equal to the PS3 line up if not over shadowed by it.
Second, Price. The 360 is still over priced for a system that lacks a lot of features that the competition host for free. The 360 charges 50 bones a yr for online, faulty hardware that RROD, destroys discs if it is bumped while playing, no built in wifi, propriatary accessories, forces you to buy batteries or get a propriatary charge kit for controllers, all for a price very close to but less then the PS3. with the PS3 i get built in WIFI, BD/ DVD player, USB PORTS, SD readers, rechargable controllers, usb cord, free online. All of this in the PS3 system makes it well worth over $700, yet Sony sells it to me for only $500. Sony actually takes a hit in the pockets to make their system more obtainable for the consumer, something the competition would not DREAM of doing. Only Sony would care that much.
RROD is only the beginning of the 360's issues. No amount of price skuing is going to save them from that. The PS3 has already proven it can out sell the 360 even with a much heaftier price tag. If the PS3 takes a price cut, as I believe they will this christmas, then the 360 is simply no match. And please no one say that Sony said they were not going to do a price cut because console companies always say that. They will never tell you they are going to cut it because then you will halt any perchases of the system at that point in time.
